Private Division is a sub-brand of Take Two that publishes independent titles. They are publishing Outer Worlds for Obsidian since the deal was made before MS bought them.

I also think it should be said, we shouldn't be too upset with private division. Overall this was a minor mistake and sometimes these things happen. It's a shame people overreact like they do.
This changes nothing. 24 hours is a long time on the internet. The fact that they let this news sit there for an entire day without saying anything speaks volumes. I bought their game, then had to cancel my preorder, and now I have to preorder it again? Fuck off Obsidian.
Assuming that email is accurate WC didn't even wait a full day to post their article without getting a response.
That's where my beefs lands, its rushing to publish an article with a baiting headline.
I wonder if you also have similar stances towards other outlets posting news with baiting headlines "without getting a response." Something tells me that as long as they hue blue, you don't.Assuming that email is accurate WC didn't even wait a full day to post their article without getting a response.

Of course. A PR person made a mistake. Shit happens.
I'm just responding to the complete overreaction about banning Windows Central.

That comment wasn't directed towards you and I agree with your perspective.
No, we aren't debating semantics, don't move a goalpost when we not playing soccer. You are wrong in trying to put blame of the situation on Windows Central accurate reporting saying that they did an ambiguous quote where the quote is right there in front of you. The full blame is on Private Division. That is what is clear and not up for "debate".It was ambiguous enough that Windows Central "followed up for clarification".
I think we're debating semantics now. You feel that WC deserves no blame for what turned out to be a controversial piece of misinformation. Fair enough.
So how many un-cancelled preorder do we have now?
It was silly to blame MS in the first place.
SatireOne person is mad that they cancelled their preorder and now have to preorder it again xd

I'm not a fan of platform slanted websites in general, I don't like DualShocker's or NintendoLife's reporting eitherI wonder if you also have similar stances towards other outlets posting news with baiting headlines "without getting a response." "assuming that email is accurate"
lmao
"WC didn't even wait a full day to post their article without getting a response."
They got a response saying no enchantments and posted an article about that quote.
Why are you moving the goal posts on this one. Just admit your beef RE this situation is bullshit.

DualShockers is not platform slanted. What you are looking for is PS Lifestyle or Push Square.I'm not a fan of platform slanted websites in general, I don't like DualShocker's or NintendoLife's reporting either
for instance and generally hold them under a much more powerful microscope than agnostic websites.

I'm sure someone somewhere on the internet is actually saying that exact thing, but the poster in question is parodying outrage lol (check their post history)
You want to communicate to Private Division PR to verify the authenticity of the email?Assuming that email is accurate WC didn't even wait a full day to post their article without getting a response.

Crow feeding time.
Edit: I knew this would be the case. There was zero reason to doubt there would be some enhancement
Windows Central shared a piece of information that at the time of sharing was accurate and not misinformationI'm not moving goalposts. To reiterate:
I believe Windows Central can be blamed for sharing a controversial piece of misinformation and in fact, basing an article headline on that misinformation. I also believe the quote in question was ambiguous enough that WC followed up on it for clarification.
You, and others here, think I'm wrong and that WC is blameless.
I'm completely ready to drop this discussion at this point. We're not getting anywhere.

Windows central does not do reviews on other consoles than Xbox (please correct me if I am wrong)..
there is only one person reviewing xbox games there, and that is jez.. again correct me if I am wrong..
So what is that mail about that jez is showing a little piece of?

They need to wait a day to post official information from Public Relations? What does that day do? (Maybe you should have waited a day to cancel your preorder)
Baiting headline? "The Outer Worlds only features '4K textures and resolution' on Xbox One X and PC"
Please explain the "bait" in this title? Where are the inaccuracies.
