So CES 2021 will be held virtually from January 11-14. Many TV manufacturers are going to have virtual presentations like Samsung, Sony, TCL and LG. Though Vizio and Hisense will not have presentations and will wait until closer to the launch of their 2021 models to detail the specs of their TV's.

CES 2021 TV preview: 8K, OLED, MicroLED screens remain huge, hype shrinks

A global pandemic can't stop the biggest TV trade show on Earth, but it can slow it down.

Here are my predictions for CES 2021:

  • TCL 2021 TV's will have HDMI 2.1 with VRR, ALLM, and 4K 120HZ.
  • The majority of Sony 2021 TV's will have HDMI 2.1. There will be more OLED models from Sony.
  • Samsung will finally include Dolby Vision on their TV's
  • There will be more eARC and HDMI A/V receivers announced from AV Manufacturers like Onkyo.

It's going to be empty compared to past years. Have heard of a lot of companies that have pulled out since there's no show floor this year.

Nvidia and AMD are supposed to be doing reveals so my expectations are
  • the 3060 duo
  • 3070 Ti and 3080 Ti
  • Ampere for laptops
  • 6700 series to compete against the 3060/3070
  • maybe 6600 series to tease the more price conscious folk on team red
