1. Avengers: Infinity War
2. Jurassic World 2
3. Solo: A Star Wars Story
4. Incredibles 2
5. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Didn't know what to pick for number 5 so I went with something mostly no one else is going with. Those Illumination movies always seem to do really well and the Grinch is a pretty well-known property.

Bonus:
6. Mary Poppins Returns
7. Deadpool 2
8. Black Panther
9. Ready Player One
10. Aquaman

I'm probably really wrong here though *shrugs*

  1. Avengers: Infinity War
  2. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
  3. Incredibles 2
  4. Deadpool 2
  5. Black Panther
Incredibles 2 was a tough cut as it could go either way.

Edit: nvm Solo is out and incredibles 2 takes its spot.

I should probably make sure I don't forget to put my own prediction in here:

  1. Avengers: Infinity War
  2. Incredibles 2
  3. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
  4. Solo
  5. Mary Poppins Returns
I think Black Panther and Deadpool 2 both end up over $300M, but not high enough to make the list, and Grinch ends up around $275-300M.

That would be 7 Disney movies over 300MM (DP technically Fox, but Dis will get all the money it makes). I don't think that has ever happened.

I think I'm changing my list btw, would you prefer I edit my post or a new reply?

Edit your original. Nothing is getting officially logged until the deadline comes, so everyone is free to edit as much as they want until then.

1. Avengers: Infinity War
2. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
3. The Incredibles 2
4. Deadpool 2
5. Solo: A Star Wars Story (I'm assuming this moves to Dec, or else I'd put Black Panther 5)

Edit: Really surprised at all these Ready Player One picks...it'll be lucky to even be top 10.

Sooo since Solo didn't move to dec can I put BP back in my top 5? lol

No, no.

Damn, Black Panther really did fuck up everyone's predictions lol

No one had it #1. Only two people had it at #2. More than half of the entries don't list it at all (including mine). I'd say yeah, it did.

Yeah, I would have guessed 300M for BP, tops. Which is enough to be safe for the top 5, but nowhere near the top of it. I'm definitely a lot more skeptical about JW2 and solo now too...

300M probably isn't gonna be enough for top 5. There's a decent chance it won't even be enough for top 7.

OP didnt list a year for entry deadlines, thus I can still enter.

Domestic Box Office Top 5 for 2018 predictions:

1. Black Panther (3rd movie to ever break $700m domestic)
2. Avengers: Infinity War (It will set a new OW record)
3. Incredibles 2 (Highest grossing animated film ever)
4. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (It will make less than the first but still be very successful)
5. Mary Poppins Returns

And I predict that Solo: A Star Wars Story will underperform greatly and people will blame The Last Jedi for it.

Okay, so unless Aquaman has an insane run for the next month, the rankings are gonna end up:

  1. Black Panther
  2. Avengers: Infinity War
  3. Incredibles 2
  4. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
  5. Aquaman
Which means we're gonna have a 6 way tie for first place (11 points) between Fiction ManaByte Sense snapcracken AndyVirus and ThatWasAJoke. Using the first tiebreaker (final ranking of the movies that didn't make top 5), that whittles things down from 6 people to 2 (Solo bombing hurt multiple people here). With the tiebreaker, it's a two way tie between snapcracken and Sense, who both only missed on Deadpool 2, which Aquaman has edged out to put into 6th place.

So for the final tiebreaker: I'm asking both of you to predict to domestic opening weekend of What Men Want, which opens this Friday. It's closest absolute value whether you're above or below. Because it opens this weekend, I'm gonna have to ask you to have a prediction in by 8PM Central on Thursday. Good luck to you both.

Y'all should be happy that Queen isn't bigger in the US.

I would've lost hard, because there was no way I could've expected Bohemian Rhapsody would be the single most succesful movie ever released in my country.

Alright, both prediction are locked in.

If What Men Want ends up making more than $24.5M this weekend, snap wins. If it makes less, Sense wins.
