Not quite on the same scale, but some of the GOP attack ads I've seen about Oz in Pennsylvania are wild.
This is hilarious to watch unfold.
If this is GOP driven--and it probably is--I can't help but wonder why they're doing it like this. Like, they poison pilled so many "RINOs" during the Trump admin without this kind of overt campaign before, Liz Cheney being the most recent example.
I'm almost expecting Cawthorn to try and switch horses at this point. I know Ds aren't exactly rushing for his support, but he has got to know he doesn't have much love on his own team anymore.

Agreed on both accounts. In the past, a guy like Cawthorn wouldn't have been rushed into office like this. But they needed someone younger than AOC and so this is what they got.
He was a perfect prop for the RNC when they needed a speaker because at the surface he meets all the marks: young man, conservative, and his disability give him all of the mysticism that he's the American dream.
The problem is that image is an image. Dude doesn't meet it at all.
Either he was careless and is now terrified or he was lying to sound cool on a podcast (I am leaning toward the latter)
The impression I get from Cawthorne is that, in his real life, he's a generally sex positive and gender neutral person (in addition to being an asshole, if this video is indeed a prank).

The coke orgies are real, Roger Stone would know and he acknowledged that they were happening on Alex Jones. And Madison knows he is being targeted from the right, he said as much as well as one of the attacks came directly and exclusively from a conservative rag.

Conservatives certainly do. Recent GOP polls pretty much confirmed Cawthorn's popularity has plumetted since the release of the photos. I can't imagine this is going to go well.
The thing Resetera doesn't seem to understand is that, with conservatives:

It's really not that uncommon for gay men to be into that kind of rough play, I've encountered it a lot. In fact it's a *really* good reason to be confident and sure of your boundaries if you like to engage in casual sex with other men cuz you could easily run into someone who would love to violate them and mess you up for a good while.
One, I did not refer to this as a prank. I said if. I AM sex positive, so I did want to leave room for the possibility that this was consensual and that we net sleuths who don't know these people might be wrong. But I've been very intentional with my language that if this were nonconsensual then it's not acceptable. I literally say that in multiple posts. So please miss me with this narrative.
I just think it's weird to highlight me, while being intentional with my language, in the same thread where people are sharing dog reenactments.
