I have so many issues with these games, yet my prediction from yesterday is something I still believe. These are gonna get a low 90s metacritic score, somehow some way.
Wouldnt be the first time.I honestly don't see a mainline Pokémon game getting anything lower than a 80.
Seems accurate.
Funny given that Emerald is one of the best ones.Wouldnt be the first time.
That's like every review thread ever haha
Just a PSA since I'd hate for someone to try this in vain, don't reset for shinies on anything with a static overworld sprite like starters or legendaries. Those can't ever be shiny.
Aw man! :(
Would that it were the only issueI think reviewers will ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ at people upset about the Dexit issue and give it a high 80s low 90s score.

Questioning the reviewers abilities for a game we haven't played doesn't make much sense. Wait till you play it before accusing critics of being wrong.Would be a shame since the games have way bigger flaws and problems, reviewers should be able to see

omg i had no idea reviews were so soon?!?! literally a few minutes away aaaaa
i hope its really good...
prediction: 85
hope: 90 (we need a goddamn pokemon (and 2019 nintendo exclusive) to finally break the 90 barrier!!!!
what is a honest review though ?People respect honest reviews. You owe the fans and the developer an honest review.
The dex cut isn't even the biggest issue with the game.I think reviewers will ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ at people upset about the Dexit issue and give it a high 80s low 90s score.
Reviewers would never be brave enough.
B2W2 is the second worst game too I think.
Metascore for Pokémon is all wrong.
One that doesn't gloss over glaring technical issues and cut contentwhat is a honest review though ?
One that agrees with the bias of the reader ?
You can understand it with the second versions though, I think critics have a different criteria on scores. Its more about how much has been added to make the new purchase worth it, and that's why they usually score lower than the base games.B2W2 is the second worst game too I think.

1. I didn't question the ability of the reviewers.Questioning the reviewers abilities for a game we haven't played doesn't make much sense. Wait till you play it before accusing critics of being wrong.
I would refuse to review this game.I do not envy the reviewers that will be outliners with the very high and very low scores.
5s and 9s will be weaponized for months.
Leaving this here so I can come back to it. Nostradamus tier post.Game Informer: 8/10

The one 'third version' that is not a revisiting of the previous games is the one with the lowest scores? Talk about rewarding bad behavior.B2W2 is the second worst game too I think.
Metascore for Pokémon is all wrong.
Honestly any game made and shipped in 2019 with PS2 tier pop in and multiple rough edges across the board getting a score above 80 should be highly questionable, however that standard exists for anything but Pokemon. I'll just see the scores, read the reviews and laugh without giving them a second read cause the majority of the games issues are gonna be glossed over.Gonna go with 85-86, with the enhanced and better versions that release next year getting a lower score cause enhanced edition means lower metacritic.
Wonder how low a review will have to be to not be regarded as made by paid shills.
I honestly don't care that much about the dex cut. For me it's things like difficulty scaling, technical / graphical issues, campaign length and the culling of features.
If the games are legitimately good and the reviews are thorough, I will be thrilled. I want a great Pokemon game on Switch. If the issues are ignored or hand-waved away, that doesn't do anyone any favors.
