It 's pretty weird how both Wonder Trade and GTS are functioning right now. We know for a fact hundreds of thousands of people, if not millions are using Home, yet it takes HOURS to complete these simple trades that took less than a minute in Pokemon USUM.

Room trade and friend trade still don't work at all for me. This service is a giant mess and people should be compensated for the disastrous release in some form.

There is a lot I like about this, and I love just looking at my different Pokémon, but man do I hate the state this released in.

Ughhhhh. I'm not even being a jerk in my wonder trade. I'm giving away tons of dupes I have from breeding. Why won't they let me send my babies out into the world? :(

Yep. And nearly every Pokemon transferred from the VC games come with their Hidden Ability and (I think?) at least 3 perfect IVs. The VC version of Crystal in particular gives you a Celebi that you can even transfer over to Gen 7 or 8.

It takes 6 hours to trade an individual Pokemon. If you take it out and exchange for another, the timer is reset. This is based on anedoctal evidence but I'm pretty confident on it, traded 50 mons so far using it.

Your post made me realize someone could obtain the Gen 8 Pokemon without playing a Gen 8 game. Trading for an entire generation is not as interesting as catching it yourself...but still possible.

That's what I'm doing lol Luckily I have a Protean Froakie breeding industry on Y, so most common mons are relatively easy to get. No clue how I'm gonna get the legendaries though.

If the trade occurs at exactly 6 hours each time, this would suggest an intentionally set timer to limit the amount of trades people can perform.

And when you consider that the premium plan offers 7 additional slots, one starts to really start to question TPC's motives here.

I first put a Rayquaza from OR for an Eternatus and a Kyurem from White for Zacian that were traded fairly quickly. Then I had to put a Solgaleo, a Reshiram and a Lunala, all asking for a Zamazenta, and wait around 2 days until someone accepted the trade.

That's what I think as well, but we should add in all caps that we're speculating, else the anti misinformation squad might come for our heads.

Hmm thanks. I've tried Cobalion, Terrakion, Rayquaza and Lugia so far but no dice. Thinking I'll have to part with one of my Kyurem and hunt for another pair of Reshiram and Zekrom.

You know what amazes me? They had all of this figured out 7 years ago.

Wonder Trade took just seconds and I could chain wonder trades repeatedly until I found something interesting. Pokemon on the GTS would be traded within minutes of being deposited. I didn't have to quit the game and put it aside in order to conduct trades. It was all free to use and built directly into the game.

Now? Wonder "Trade" takes 6+ hours to complete. GTS is frustratingly broken. To even use any of this I have to quit the game, load up a separate app on my console, move Pokemon around, then put my console aside only so I can load up another app on my smartphone so I can actually do any of this. Oh, and arbitrary restrictions on all of this push players into a subscription.

It's honestly sad to see the fragmentation and devolution of such foundational features.

I wonder how you register Freeze Shock and Ice Burn as moves on the pokédex, considering those are Black/White Kyurem moves and you can't put that pokémon on Bank.

I agree. I had GTS trades working in literally a minute.
Have traded something with my partner and it immediately pops up if you know the right parameters like level range and male/female.

On mobile? Delete your cache and it should fix it

Thanks for the tip. I've cleared the app cache but it hasn't fixed it but if it's a known issue I'm sure it'll update properly once I use the Bank transfer a few more times.

Well, can't really confirm that, Litten is one of the most traded and requested Pokemon but nobody wants my 3 in almost a week. Like something is broken.

Oh that's a different problem where for those kinds of Pokemon stuff gets bumped off the viewable entries super fast, and the shit trades clog stuff up.

You gotta reupload frequently traded mons like Litten if they aren't traded quickly in this one.

Thanks for the input guys. And lol that's so bitterly disappointing. Guess I should've expected better than having something as simple as trading Pokemon with a friend go by seamlessly with this company at the helm. I'm extra bitter because all of these Pokemon were in Bank and I could've just easily traded on Sun/Moon. I had literally *just* moved them from Bank to Home when I asked that question earlier, and as we know it's a one way trip.

The Pokemon in question haven't been added to the Galar Dex. So I guess we have no other option but to roll the dice on GTS and hope they don't get snatched up.

Thanks for the info. I'm happy enough to let 3DS VC Pokémon stay on the 3DS but ultimately I'd like a Mew and Mewtwo in Sword because to me they are still the best of the best. :) I tapped out in the first quarter of Diamond so I guess I'll see how obsessed I get with Sword and take it from there!

With the help of Gen 2 VC and some Arbitrary Code Execution it was able to make it all the way into Pokemon Home!

I have an entire box of cloned Adamant Regenerator Ho-Oh and Bold Multiscale Lugia from Gold VC I've been using for the GTS. You'll be fine.

I guess it depends on if the folk(s) who were making maliciously crafted Pokemon were perma-banned or not, and if anyone else is deciding to continue where they left off. But the situation itself is a mess if you're unlucky enough to get one of those Pokemon. If you end up getting your HOME account locked, or your Y-Comm on SwSh disabled, how's Game Freak going to remedy that? Are they going to leave you SOL for gawd knows how long?

We have it, just touch and hold on a pokémon and you can release up to 100 pokémon at the same time.

You can release 30 at a time. That's already significantly better than before.

Oh my god... catching Meltan in Pokemon Go is so annoying. Last night after drinking, I went through 50 pokeballs on a single Meltan and still didn't catch him. This morning, I bought some Great Balls and after 20 throws, I was able to catch 3 of them. I moved them to Pokemon Home hoping to get a Zamazenta through the GTS, but you can't actually trade Meltan through GTS. Blarg.

You can still trade one through regular means, right? Anyone want to trade a Meltan for Zamazenta? Send me a PM. :)
