Having gone through the beginning of Sun/Moon multiple times (I got all of the editions of Pikachu a few weeks back), seeing all the subtle changes are so nice, and are really making me happy as I'm platying,.
so didn't play SM, but curious before I pick my starters.
Do you get any earlier access to any decent Grass / Fire / Water PKMN early game?
Are you serious? I'm way more excited to play now.Like, it's not a selling point for anybody that the Save function is mapped to Y now.
Do you mean three minutes until you can check their attributes (gender, nature, etc.)? That would be disappointing.Yeah, you can save right before you hit the tall grass with Him good.
However, it still takes like 3 minutes after that.
8 resets for me.
Took me 3 resets until I settled for Quirky nature. Cut scene, choose mon, cut scene, check, reset. About 5-6 minutes each time.Do you mean three minutes until you can check their attributes (gender, nature, etc.)? That would be disappointing.
I hate to be that guy who brings up B2W2 yet again, but I loved how they handled it in that game. Bianca's introduction was relatively short to begin with and even then she still stopped talking so you could save the game just before picking your pokémon. The bit afterwards when she gives you your pokédex took only a few seconds as well.
Yes. No joke, USM has probably the best PokéDex I've seen so far. Tons of fun options and really densely populated locales.
thanks!
maybe i'll look up Serebii to see if they have an update on Pokearth for this yet then.
reason being that I don't want to pick a starter that I know I'm going to get a decent->great of that same type shortly.
would rather have the diversity
I was so bummed to see that the red hair color isn't available until post-game. Really wanted to rock that this time around. :(
I haven't looked to see what all of them are, but some are at least. I was just going off of a list of stuff for the original versions though, I'm not sure how much (if any) of it is different in Ultra.Tell me more about this. There are fashion items locked to the post-game?
The Ultra Recon Squad creating beast balls five minutes after mentioning they should catch Pokémon like the alolans is some old bullshit
Very minor, but enemy trainers now animating ever so slightly in the end-battle camera pan is a nice touch.
I wouldn't mind trading you an Alolan Vulpix egg as long as you don't expect the perfect IVs or the best nature to be on the egg but you do get the Hidden Ability.looked up how long it'll be until i can get vulpix and ugh that's way too long for me, i was hoping it would be a super early game thing
Yes you can and as a fail safe the Rockruff will NOT evolve to it's Midday or Midnight Form only its Dusk Form by force in case your timing is offCan I just change my 3DS clock to be 5pm?
My Rockruff is at level 18, and will probably hit 25 within an hour or so, but it's currently 10pm, so I either don't play the entire Saturday until 5pm, or Rockruff stays as Rockruff probably almost until I beat the game...
Yes, I like how it gives you the starter a lot sooner, and it streamlines the character introductions a little bit. I still think it has a lot of cutscenes so far, which is annoying.Having gone through the beginning of Sun/Moon multiple times (I got all of the editions of Pikachu a few weeks back), seeing all the subtle changes are so nice, and are really making me happy as I'm platying,.
omg would you? that would be awesomeI wouldn't mind trading you an Alolan Vulpix egg as long as you don't expect the perfect IVs or the best nature to be on the egg but you do get the Hidden Ability.
Send me a PM with your Friend Code and your Egg is ready
Source? These feel like the games we should have gotten in the first place rather than enhanced editions. It's a shame Alola is still a slog to play through. I thought they said the changes in the script would be more prevalent, but it's basically the exact same game with a few more cutscenes so far.
The entire 3DS generation of Pokémon has been without 3D.No 3D effect huh? I take it they had to sacrifice that to get such good graphics? (For a 3DS game I mean)
X and Y had it didn't they?
More like the performance of the games have always been downgraded or troubled ever since Diamond and Pearl came out because we have yet to go back to the quick smoothness the Generation III games had.
Right? It's those minor things that count. I'm sure those animations have always existed, they just weren't paused.Very minor, but enemy trainers now animating ever so slightly in the end-battle camera pan is a nice touch.
I haven't seen it anywhere. No 3D effect huh? I take it they had to sacrifice that to get such good graphics? (For a 3DS game I mean)
3D was not received well in general because until the n3DS came around it didn't work well if you even slightly shifted your view or the system to the side, it drain an already short battery even faster and some people couldn't perceive 3D due to some condition they may have in their eyes. As such Nintendo and all of it's developers kicked the 3D gimmicks to the side after a year or two for the most part anyways and it didn't help that 3rd parties didn't make well use of 3D either so now that the 2DS is a thing we live in a world where nobody uses 3D anymore the 3DS might as well have been called the Super DS at this point.Oh well like I said in my previous post (#315) I haven't played any Pokemon games since Platinum.
Now I'm curious why the most popular Nintendo brand has never utilized THE gimmick of the 3DS. A gimmick I love very much no less.
