You need like 3m to get everything from Honey, but for 1m you get an exclusive fight so thats the "reasonable" stopping point I suppose.

So just now starting to really try out this Cram-O-Matic thing. What's the best way to use it? I've seen the tables, but what's the best thing to do with it?
Yes, I know the Apricorn Balls are statistically non-existent.

It was nice and solid. It would have been nice to be longer, story-wise, but I'm happy with it.So now that the dust has settled, how are people feeling about this first expansion? I'm still planning on picking it up at some point, but now that I've put it off for a while, right now I'm actually leaning towards picking up Pokken instead.
It actually feels like there are places to explore. It's all interconnected, there's a few small caves in it. It's just how Wild Area should have been. It feels like open world PokémonI liked the base game a lot too. I've invested more into it than any other Pokémon, but I've slowed down on it a lot in the past months. Hearing that this wild area is so much better is definitely interesting.
There's not much if you're just playing it for the story but as an expansion to Sw/Sh it's way more than I expected. The island is very well designed and I love the QoL additions they added with it. I'm excited for Crown Tundra. So now that the dust has settled, how are people feeling about this first expansion? Its made me feel a little more hopeful about the future of Pokemon. At least now we know GF can make a competent natural looking biome where you can actually see Pokemon living. So now that the dust has settled, how are people feeling about this first expansion? I was not aware you could see that, I need to keep an eye out next time.I loved seeing the Emolga jump from tree to tree. Too bad they didn't do it for all the bird Pokemon.
Yeah the forest on the DLC island. The Emolga jump/glide from tree to tree. Little things like that make the game feel a little more alive.I was not aware you could see that, I need to keep an eye out next time.
Correct. The option can be used on any pokemon that has a Gigantamax form, but that pokemon doesn't have it. When I got to that point, I had finished catching all the ones from the base game through raid battles. But I used it to give Gigantamax form to my Gen 8 starters and to Venusaur and Blastoise. Great system. So I just heard the expansion gives you some sort of option for giving Gigantamax to Pokémon that weren't caught in a Gigantamax form. Does this apply to any Pokémon? Like if I train up a non-Gigantamax Pokemon and want to give them that trait I can? And how accessible is it? That was one of my biggest issues with the base Sw/Sh
Any Pokémon with a Gigantamax Form yeah (except Melmetal). Just need 3 Max Mushrooms for it and a Max Mushroom spawns in the Isle of Armor for every 3 raids you do in thereSo I just heard the expansion gives you some sort of option for giving Gigantamax to Pokémon that weren't caught in a Gigantamax form. Nope, no penaltyThat is excellent to hear. I hated that Shield finally fixed one of my biggest issues with late game Pokémon by allowing you customize IVs, EVs, and what not, only for G-max forms to potentially throw all that in your face. Investing a ton into a Poke only for it to get a G-Max form later that you need to replace it with really was a buzzkill. Is there any sort of penalty/missing anything for going this route?
Yeah, I've been thinking about that. I would welcome that very much being able to change a Pokemons abilitiy to the hidden one. It should be very hard to do though, so that you could only do it a few times.Awesome! I'll most likely pick this up tomorrow then. Thanks everyone for your impressions and answers.
Not much point in hunting G-max's so it takes a little of the fun out of that, but definitely willing to lose some of that for this. I guess now only the hidden abilities are locked to specific catches. Maybe the Crown Tundra will address that...
Basically you have 15 battles to participate in a day and your ranking is based on your wins and your opponents rankingYeah, I've been thinking about that. Anyways, anybody taking part in the next tournament? I'm planning to do so. It will be my first time so I'm a little nervous. How do these tournaments proceed. I just battle and then get points? or how do you progress in it?
also I still need to think of a good counter for Urshifu because I think most people will have it in their team
They're ok in doubles but I have no idea about singles 3v3 meta so I just prepared a dual screen Klefki and some setup mons.Trying to decide what my team should be for the upcoming competition. I assume Politoed and Kingdra are gonna be popular...
oh dang I thought it was a doubles tourney. I gotta rethink this entirely then lolThey're ok in doubles but I have no idea about singles 3v3 meta so I just prepared a dual screen Klefki and some setup mons.
Seasons? Thought that was a gen V thing and HGSS is gen IV.This feels like an alright place to ask — I'm gonna play HeartGold soon and then afterward I'm on to UltraSun. Two questions for y'all.
1.) Which season is the prettiest one in HGSS? I think I'll set my 3DS date accordingly.
2.) Does anyone happen to have a Rockruff with Own Tempo that I can trade for once I reach USUM? It will be at least a few more weeks until then (heck, I'm working on Platinum's lovely postgame at the moment) but yeah. I'm watching the Sun/Moon anime and I'd love to follow suit with Dusk Form Lycanroc.
Mods, go easy on me for being somewhat off-topic.
(OK Quinton, we will.)
HG/SS has a lot of areas that are inspired with a seasonal aesthetic, so you could be forgiven for mistaking somewhere like Ecruteak had a seasons mechanic.Oh word. Maybe I misremember. For some reason I thought HGSS had them as well.

it will evolve into Galarian Weezing. The only way to get a Kantonian one is to trade for it or transfer it in.Logged on last night after a while and it looked like I had been trying to breed something but couldn't remember what. I took the egg from the Daycare Lady and it hatched into a shiny Zorua, which was pretty cool.
Question: if I transfer a shiny Koffing from Let's Go into Sword, will it evolve into Galarian Weezing or Kantonian Weezing? Google results are conflicting.
GTS is still available on USUM afaik. Used it a couple weeks agoAww, darn. It totally went over my head somehow that GTS went down for 3DS games back in February. I was hoping to find a Rockruff with Own Tempo.
It's still there. I think you're thinking of the Game Sync stuff. I dunno if there's any way to tell what ability a Rockruff would have on it though.Aww, darn. It totally went over my head somehow that GTS went down for 3DS games back in February. I was hoping to find a Rockruff with Own Tempo.
