You need like 3m to get everything from Honey, but for 1m you get an exclusive fight so thats the "reasonable" stopping point I suppose.

Does anyone happen to have a Turtonator or Flapple they could trade or touch-trade me? I'm also looking for a Rufflet since I have Shield. Let me know if you need any version exclusives I can get you, I just happened to get back into completing my Shield/Armor dex.
I wasn't planning on spending money on home and bank but I started playing my old games from GBA to now to get ready to pass the older games down to my kids and wipe the files on the games I knew I would no longer touch, and I had tons of decent mons that were at risk of going into the void, so many memories, legit event Pokemon and shiny Pokemon that I forgot I even had. Made some good memories with these guys. The SOBs got me hook line and sinker lol.
So just now starting to really try out this Cram-O-Matic thing. What's the best way to use it? I've seen the tables, but what's the best thing to do with it?

I used it to get some specific items I needed, like Whipped Dream and Sachet. That's where the tables really come in handy. Without the tables it's such a crapshoot I don't even try to use it.
If you're into online battling, there are a number of competitive items that are only found once or very hard to get in a regular playthrough.
Oh yeah, I get it now. Got myself another Eviolite now. Some of these combinations are kind of tricky to get.
It was nice and solid. It would have been nice to be longer, story-wise, but I'm happy with it.
The Isle of Armor is 100% how the Wild Area should have been in terms of open world Pokémon
With Crown Tundra seemingly being bigger and more exploration focused, I'm very excited for it
I quite liked the expansion but I really liked the main game as well. I feel like it has mostly the same strengths and weaknesses. Catching and exploring with your Pokemon is fun, but there's no real gameplay challenge. The characters are charming and interesting, but the story barely exists. I agree that as a "wild area" it's much better than the main game's wild area, with the geography being more interesting and varied and worth exploring.
One thing I have mixed feelings on is just how many rare Pokemon and other rare stuff (gigantimaxes) are easily available in the expansion. On the one hand it's cool to have a lot more Pokemon to add to your team, especially some ones I probably wouldn't otherwise obtain as a casual player. But it also kind of feels like it devalues them a bit I guess.

It actually feels like there are places to explore. It's all interconnected, there's a few small caves in it. It's just how Wild Area should have been. It feels like open world Pokémon
There's not much if you're just playing it for the story but as an expansion to Sw/Sh it's way more than I expected. The island is very well designed and I love the QoL additions they added with it. I'm excited for Crown Tundra.
Its made me feel a little more hopeful about the future of Pokemon. At least now we know GF can make a competent natural looking biome where you can actually see Pokemon living.
Sw/Sh were such a fart in the wind.
I loved seeing the Emolga jump from tree to tree. Too bad they didn't do it for all the bird Pokemon.

Yeah the forest on the DLC island. The Emolga jump/glide from tree to tree. Little things like that make the game feel a little more alive.
So I just heard the expansion gives you some sort of option for giving Gigantamax to Pokémon that weren't caught in a Gigantamax form. Does this apply to any Pokémon? Like if I train up a non-Gigantamax Pokemon and want to give them that trait I can? And how accessible is it? That was one of my biggest issues with the base Sw/Sh
Correct. The option can be used on any pokemon that has a Gigantamax form, but that pokemon doesn't have it. When I got to that point, I had finished catching all the ones from the base game through raid battles. But I used it to give Gigantamax form to my Gen 8 starters and to Venusaur and Blastoise. Great system.
Any Pokémon with a Gigantamax Form yeah (except Melmetal). Just need 3 Max Mushrooms for it and a Max Mushroom spawns in the Isle of Armor for every 3 raids you do in there
That is excellent to hear. I hated that Shield finally fixed one of my biggest issues with late game Pokémon by allowing you customize IVs, EVs, and what not, only for G-max forms to potentially throw all that in your face. Investing a ton into a Poke only for it to get a G-Max form later that you need to replace it with really was a buzzkill. Is there any sort of penalty/missing anything for going this route?

Not much point in hunting G-max's so it takes a little of the fun out of that, but definitely willing to lose some of that for this. I guess now only the hidden abilities are locked to specific catches. Maybe the Crown Tundra will address that...
Yeah, I've been thinking about that. I would welcome that very much being able to change a Pokemons abilitiy to the hidden one. It should be very hard to do though, so that you could only do it a few times.
Anyways, anybody taking part in the next tournament? I'm planning to do so. It will be my first time so I'm a little nervous. How do these tournaments proceed. I just battle and then get points? or how do you progress in it?
also I still need to think of a good counter for Urshifu because I think most people will have it in their team
Basically you have 15 battles to participate in a day and your ranking is based on your wins and your opponents ranking
They're ok in doubles but I have no idea about singles 3v3 meta so I just prepared a dual screen Klefki and some setup mons.

It will be at least a few more weeks until then (heck, I'm working on Platinum's lovely postgame at the moment) but yeah. I'm watching the Sun/Moon anime and I'd love to follow suit with Dusk Form Lycanroc.

Only need Slurpuff and Aromatisse and I'l have finished the Galar Pokedex! Minus the Isle of Armor stuff, haven't gotten the DLC yet. Going to try and use wishing pieces to make a Slurpuff Max Raid pop up and then trade that on GTS for Aromatisee.
Can you finish this without evolving your Cubfu? I got a hacked evolution of his name MACHAMPS.COM on Wonder Trade and am thinking I'll keep him unevolved for living Dex?
HG/SS has a lot of areas that are inspired with a seasonal aesthetic, so you could be forgiven for mistaking somewhere like Ecruteak had a seasons mechanic.

Finished the Galar Pokedex last week! Not a living dex yet, but should be with time. Just need to do some breeding and stuff. Managed to trade a spare Mewtwo on GTS for Zamensta, so I at least have all the legendaries from Galar. Moved onto working through getting the rest of my dex filled on Home. Playing through Crystal on the VC now to get all the Johto Legendaries.

Logged on last night after a while and it looked like I had been trying to breed something but couldn't remember what. I took the egg from the Daycare Lady and it hatched into a shiny Zorua, which was pretty cool.
Question: if I transfer a shiny Koffing from Let's Go into Sword, will it evolve into Galarian Weezing or Kantonian Weezing? Google results are conflicting.

I ended up doing pretty well in the Armor Beginnings competition! I used Porygon2, Azumarill, Magnezone, Druddigon and Gigalith.
it will evolve into Galarian Weezing. The only way to get a Kantonian one is to trade for it or transfer it in.
Aww, darn. It totally went over my head somehow that GTS went down for 3DS games back in February. I was hoping to find a Rockruff with Own Tempo.
GTS is still available on USUM afaik. Used it a couple weeks ago
It's still there. I think you're thinking of the Game Sync stuff. I dunno if there's any way to tell what ability a Rockruff would have on it though.
