You didn't really answer my question. I'm comparing them graphically. The environments and Digimon in Cyber Sleuth actually looks a lot more detailed than the Sword/Shield trailer. You'd think that a switch game would look miles better and be way more detailed than a PS Vita game.Translation is probably the biggest offender, among other things like battle animations.
Like I said, I love Cyber Sleuth. But if you're comparing it to Pokemon, even XY, then Pokemon wins.
People seriously suggesting this game started on the 3DS need to get outside more jesus christ
I was here and Pokémon wasn't like this :) Unless I missed a console with a Pokémon that has this style please point it out and I'll go buy
In what universe does this
look better than this?
I'm sorry but it's straight up bullshit trolling.
I loved that music at the start.
Problem is they've regressed from some of the incremental improvements they made in Let's Go.
this is where am i about this. i think the art style is weaker in the next game.I believe the artstyle is better executed in Let's Go.
It's much more consistent overall.
It doesn't look like it.
I mean it was more consistent and had characters that actually didn't look out of place. What does that even mean? Is that your way of saying you like it better?
We don't know at present
I guess that's where we differ, since I care about the quality of the games themselves instead of checking to see how good a texture looks. You didn't really answer my question. I'm comparing them graphically.
Sword and Shield are kind of bottom of the barrel names. I'm not a fan.
No, absolutely not. The environments in CS are hot fucking garbage. The Digimon are maybe roughly the same, but it comes nowhere near Pokemon. I absolutely love Digimon and I played those PS4 games a ton, but they come nowhere near this game on any level. You didn't really answer my question. I'm comparing them graphically. But I guess I will give that Sun/Sword will have bigger environments than Cyber Sleuth and I guess it's a tough task to make 800+ Pokemon look better than 200+ Digimon.

We know that, but Pokémon sells a lot of games, they can justify hiring a lots of developers and make a profit no problem. If it was a small, indie game, ok we can understand, but there's no reason Pokémon can't look as good or even better than Zelda on the same system.
Dragon is too op for a starter. If Sobble becomes Water/Dragon like some pepole are predicting, i am going to love it

And they spent more than 2 years on this. Yikes. What are gamefreak thinking recycling the 3DS engine for the switch?! This game looks terrible performance wise and graphically awful.
In what sense? Hasn't every Pokemon game since Gen 4 had that?
No they haven't because this game was not developed after Lets Go, it started development a bit earlier and has been developed in parallel to Lets Go. Think of it as a few years ago their dev team took two different routes, last year we saw one and this one the other. We will probably see the improvements that you say in Gen 9, but with +2 years of dev time done they weren't going to redesign the whole game in less than a year to fit them.
I hope not.I'm a bit disappointed that they only showed single battles in the trailer. They're never going to make double battles the standard in single player, are they?

At least maybe the stadiums will be like gym battles that have restrictions or different battle settings. Maybe we could get a Double Battles stadium.I'm a bit disappointed that they only showed single battles in the trailer. Mayyybbbe but i hope that it becomes Water/Dragon or even Water/Poison
Single Joycon is more than good enough.Hijacking thread to ask a question about Pokemon Let's GO on Switch....
What control method would people recommend for a 6 year old? I plan on getting the game and wondered if I should be watching for that poke ball controller to come on sale?
The demo seemed cool enough but i was caught off guard by the controller setup, and by the looks of this one the Pokeball will be limited to that game on the switch and we dont play the Mobile GO game.
That's what I meant when I said that the art direction was not consistent.Surely that's an issue you have with the character models over the actual environment then?
The ball is fun and a 6-year old would love it. It also makes cute sounds depending on the Pokemon you caught.Hijacking thread to ask a question about Pokemon Let's GO on Switch....
