Probably not, but we won't know for sure until it's out/datamined.

I figured if anything they put it on Amazon because they wanted more people to watch it, but I've no idea what the adoption/usage rate of Prime is in Japan.GF considers it mainline. now whether it'll get a comic adaptation, who knows. the cartoon is only devoting 4 episodes to it, and it won't even be on tv
I"ve been saying for ages that Pokémon games would benefit a lot from a very basic form of platforming to make the world feel more alive instead of a plain environment that becomes a checklist. Hopefully PLA will make this a reality with the hinted climbing mechanic.
Well, the reason would be that they have a concept that requires those types. They don't usually start from a type combination and then design the Pokémon from there
For some of them, and since they needed to fill a Pokédex with all new ones it made it easier, I doubt they do it as much nowadaysActually if I'm not mistaken that's how they designed many of the Unova Pokémon according to some interviews
What happened with BW2?Special has stopped adapting every mainline game, LGPE and BDSP didn't get one (yeah I know they don't offer much original plot but still). They likely don't want another BW2 happening.
Writers block had it on hiatus for years
A handful, like Basculin. Or where they could justify some adjustments, like Stunfisk (Water originally, then Ground). The point was that naturally concepts are going to be driving most designs. Artists pitch Pokémon concepts alongside of the game designers, and if the team likes it, scrapping it just because there's some minor type overlap would be silly.Actually if I'm not mistaken that's how they designed many of the Unova Pokémon according to some interviews
Speaking of platforms, I've been saying for ages that they should do an actual Pokémon platform game. Mystery Dungeon kind of story, but with a Super Mario kind of gameplay. Well, basically Super Mario Bros. meets Pokémon.
That could go on to become its own subseries in the franchise, and could potentially take the role of being the yearly Pokémon game, produced by a different studio, while Game Freak takes more time to do the actual next mainline games.
We really need more Pokémon spin-off's that really feel like actual games that could become its own franchise, and receive almost the same attention as the mainline games, just like how Mario has the platform games, Mario Kart, Mario Party, the sports games, maybe even Super Smash if we count it like a Mario game, etc.
Are you going to do this every day until we get one? :P
Thank you! I think I recall hearing about that at some point.
Yep, i imagine they would to get info out before everything leaksThis week will be their last chance to get out new info before the game leaks somewhere and a trailer/previews would make sense here. We'll see I guess
As a lapsed Pokémon fan who didn't care for the recent "remakes" much at all, is Arceus going to be enough of a difference or improvement to bring me back in?
Different might be enough for me. I'm just worn out by the old formula. It is very different, yes. It's more focused on exploring, capturing and researching Pokémon than fighting. But there is still fighting, of course, although they changed a couple of things (you can attack several times per turn in the right conditions and change the properties of attacks a bit).
In terms of improvement it's hard to tell until we actually get our hands on it. It's different, and whether it's better or not depends on personal preference, I'd assume.
I would say it depends on how much alive do you expect it to be. Tbh, I expect NPCs to stay at the same spot and maybe walk on the streets in the same loop, and that is it.The world so far doesn't feel alive and seeing the npc standing there makes me suspicious.
Wait that's a thing? I haven't seen that anywhere but I love the ideaDodging the pokemon attacks seems to be the coolest thing they've done so far
Ya that's been in most the trailers that they've shown with Kleavor showing up.Wait that's a thing? I haven't seen that anywhere but I love the idea
It was in the very first trailer and pretty much every one after itWait that's a thing? I haven't seen that anywhere but I love the idea
Maybe someone here can point you to the clip, but I think we've actually seen the trainer take damage in battle? Something to that effect, might of just been a reactionOh my bad, of course I noticed the roll to dodge attacks but I misunderstood their post as a new, specific battle mechanic when you send out your Pokémon, where evading attacks wouldn't be tied to the accuracy alone anymore. I feel stupid but yeah, I love the dodging mechanic and I think its animation is pretty good actually.
Oh? That could be interesting. I'm curious about what happens around you when you're battling another Pokémon, like do you still see other roaming Pokémon in the wild?I ain't gonna lie tho I love this period before release and everyone is cashing out on their fakes while they still can

No.
I wanna get upset at leaks that don't turn out real then blame Gamefreak for it because it's their fault >:) I choose violence
I'd say yes. Unless it's only specific combinations and not being able to completely pick and choose dual typesWould Arceus be too powerful if they introduced Dual-type plates?
Basically, rumors.No.

even if it was just a few specific ones it would make Arceus even more flexible and unpredictable, if they did it would probably have to be some dual types with significant drawbacks like strong weaknesses.I'd say yes. Unless it's only specific combinations and not being able to completely pick and choose dual types
the perks of being the owner of the biggest pokemon site going
Seriously though, unfortunately there are people who are just like that and when I point it out to them I get told I'm "ruining fun".
I've had some Youtubers say they're afraid of posting some content in case I go off at them. Like...good? If you're going to lie to people, I'm glad I've stopped you
I think GF knows the value of shiny hunting streams. and if they're looking at BotW as inspiration, they should know that streamability is a big part of prolonged successThe only leak I accept to know before playing the game is whether or not shiny Pokémon are part of the game.
Maybe someone here can point you to the clip, but I think we've actually seen the trainer take damage in battle? Something to that effect, might of just been a reaction
I personally can't wait for all the shiny fails as Pokémon fly away, run away or just knock you straight out

Oh my god i wonder if Pokemon will "disappear" if they run off/get out of render distance or could you just chase a shiny Hisuian Growlithe across the entire region? lmfao

I've seen some rage during shiny hunts
oh this will be delicious
Probably. That's how a lot of these games do it. At least in SMT V, if a demon runs away after a certain distance it just disappears and a new one spawns somewhere nearbyOh my god i wonder if Pokemon will "disappear" if they run off/get out of render distance or could you just chase a shiny Hisuian Growlithe across the entire region? lmfao
The player didn't flash in red.No indication if they actually took damage because of this though.
