How about you tell me what is remarkable about Godfall, and what makes it suddenly a fantastic launch title from what we know?
If I'm wrong about calling it like it is from what we know and what we can see, feel free to @ me again later on.

It's remarkable because Sony's finally showing an interest in making MP focused games.

Hopefully a sign of more to come.

I remember really liking the PS Meeting in 2013, and thought it was fantastic. I was surprised by the internet reaction (Especially people mocking Mark Cerny, like, motherfucker the guy is a freaking legend in the gaming industry) hating it at the time.

They went into detail into what their core philosophy was for the PS4, and what they learned with PS3. They showed plenty of games (With Killzone getting in depth gameplay). It certainly wasn't the rollercoaster that E3 2015/16 and PSX 2016 would be but still pretty good.

But everyone was like "They didn't show the box!! Sony is done for!!"

I think Sonys range of potential games they could tease here is far stronger than what they had for the PS4. Horizon 2, Spidey 2, Demons Souls and GT7 would all raise the hype far greater than KZ, infamous and Driveclub would have.

okay i gotta get this off my chest.

Ghost of Tsushima looks better than TLOU2, looked better since E3 2018 in fact.
🏃‍♀️
I've always felt the same way as well, which apparently means I think TLOU2 don't look damn great. It does, especially in animations, but in terms of setting (and foliage) I just can't get enough of Ghost. Sekiro reinforced that point, with certain areas in that game looking jaw dropping. Its nice getting more games set in nice Japanese environments like this, I can't get enough of this stuff. I just need a new Yakuza samurai game using the Dragon Engine and I'll be satisfied.

VR Education expects a new version of PSVR to launch this year:

VR Education (AIM: VRE; Euronext Growth: 6VR), a leading virtual reality ('VR') technology company focused on the education and enterprise training space, provides the following trading update for the year ended 31 December 2019 ('FY19').
2020 will see Sony release the PlayStation 5 and a new version of the PlayStation VR headset (PSVR), which will further expand the high-end VR user base; the Group intends to support this device with its current suite of showcase software.

Seems kinda silly to release VR 2.0 along side a system most likely being sold at a loss because your consumers think the cost for the technology is to much. New console + new games + maybe a 2nd controller + VR + VR games. Tall buy in price for everything, imo best wait a year or 2.

I'd hope they hold off on PSVR 2 personally, having both the console launch and the new headset may mean that the messaging gets diluted a bit.

But we'll see soon enough hopefully :)

Launching PSVR2 alongside PS5 would be a completely stupid move.

The narrative will immediately turn to "Wow, its $800 to get the PS5? I better wait a few years then!"

People thought Xb1 didn't play used games for YEARS.

Maybe it will be a new revision for PSVR.

Sony has clearly said that PSVR 2 will launch after PS5:

"There's no reason for us to coincide it with a new console. From the point of view of the consumer, to be bombarded with many many things -- oh, you have to buy this, you have to buy that -- is a message that we don't want to send. In some ways, it's good to have a little breathing space between those things."

Amy Hennig, Troy Baker and Nolan North did another big behind the scenes Uncharted/ND discussion. Some really great stuff on how she'd direct, how ND wrote the game and how ND would manage a project. Also a little on how them splitting into 2 teams post U2 was really hard on the studio.

Would it be possible for Sony to build a wireless headset that housed hardware as powerful as a PS4 now? A standalone PSVR?

Shu Takumi leaving home console space for handheld is similar to Tsutomu Kouno.

Takumi was among creative leaders behind Dino Crisis. After directed Dino Crisis 2 he took a big break from stylized photorealistic games and moved to handheld to create smaller cartoony style games such as Ace Attorney trilogy and Ghost Trick. Many talk about Dino Crisis Remake nowadays and I wouldn't be surprised to see his unexpected return to home console space as director for DCR.

Tsutomu Kouno had a similar path. Started with The Legend of Dragoon as assistant field director and field planner and planner on ICO. Was transferred to a team making games for Pocket Station and then Ape Escape: EyeToy. But unlike Takumi he never directed a home console game before he created his own IP on handheld. He took the cartoony route as well. Many don't expect his return to home console space as creator. They see him as creator of LocoRoco and forget about his past. Same with Takumi that many see him as the father of Ace Attorney series nowadays.

Another example is Lost Planet director, Kenji Oguro. What happened to him after Lost Planet 2? He did also moved to handheld and created Ex Troopers which is a cartoony sci-fi game similar to Lost Planet. After that he directed Monster Hunter Stories which came out late Aug 2016. OsirisBlack has been saying there is a new sci-fi IP that looks impressive on RE Engine for next gen. I wouldn't be surprised if Kenji Oguro was director on that project since it was a while he released a new title.

The slogan thing is actually older than the rumour as mentioned in the thread before, a video ad specifically.
