Spider-Man SSD demo from the leak video is that fast though. although maybe State of Decay just have really load times so even with SSD it still took that long and that won't be the norm
Next demo of SSD loading time should be with Days Gone.

A proper reveal without this breadcrumb PR would still generate more buzz.
Devkits have been out in the wild for a very long time, we even have pictures. I imagine the guys at DF have contacts all over the tech space.
"This is the baseline our games are designed towards. There is only one PlayStation 5 and developers will utilize it fully."
It's not going to get much faster, even an ssd with twice the read speed would only be like 1 or 2 sec faster. I'm talking about overall, you may be able to optimize specific sections in games to be a bit faster but initial loading times won't be much faster. Plus those loads were for last gen games built for hdds.I hope the SSD is faster than Series X solution. I know the demo ms show is many many times faster than Xbox 1, but 7-8 seconds for current gen games is already way longer than I expect.
L O L. Spidy was 8 seconds to begin with. Did you ever "fast travel" in FFXV?We already know the Spider-Man demo has load times of 0.8 seconds. So your probably the one getting bad news.
Nah, they'd probably refer to something like that as a full reveal. I'm not expecting the console design, price or release and would be surprised at new game announcements from this.Tech analysis... this sounds like a damp squib, but better than nothing!
Any chance of a game reveal? Maybe a release date?
maybe not proper game reveal, but I'm sure we'll see some tech demo to show the power, remember PS3 duck demo and PS4 Knack demo etc.Tech analysis... this sounds like a damp squib, but better than nothing!

It's worse, dude it's more like 27 hours
We'll have to wait and see - unfortunately no knowledge from my end. But Eurogamer (and Tom) have some great sources and industry contacts, I'm almost certain they've at least have some rough idea of where things sit.So the claim (from Tom just an hour ago) that XSX has the poweredge is true?
Preliminary numbers show the PS5 as 18x faster than the PS4 Pro and that was on a "slow" devkit from a year ago.I hope the SSD is faster than Series X solution. I know the demo ms show is many many times faster than Xbox 1, but 7-8 seconds for current gen games is already way longer than I expect.
You already moving goalposts? Lol indeed.L O L. Spidy was 8 seconds to begin with. Did you ever fast travel in FFXV?
7-8 seconds for titles that had no alterations is a pretty big jump. Imagine titles made with the NVMe in mind and also the added filing systems for the Series X.I hope the SSD is faster than Series X solution. And an announcement for a free PS5 for every household would generate even more buzz!A proper reveal without this breadcrumb PR would still generate more buzz.

I wonder why Tom (from Eurogamer) would tweet that XSX has the poweredge if he doesnt know anything. Strange.
But we will see it tommorow.
So the claim (from Tom just an hour ago) that XSX has the poweredge is true?
One is totally feasible and has been the standard for a reason. The other is a dumb strawman. And an announcement for a free PS5 for every household would generate even more buzz!
Lol I think you've made your point. We should wait for tomorrow though.
Well according to rumors the SSD is faster anyway.Somehow the timing translates to ps5 > xsx perfomance wise in my head.
I hope they are on par, with no one having an overall edge
Just specs it seems. This was a planned GDC video
2020 isn't 2013 and you're arguing something that literally cannot be proven. One is totally feasible and has been the standard for a year. One is a dumb strawman.
Finally!
People gonna be shook if PS5 is eventually more powerful.
