That unboxing experience is pretty underwhelming all things considered. Just a plain box with the accessories and the big boy underneath.
What's this about the HDMI cable? The one in the box is not 2.1 compatible?
None of my consoles have airflow issues in their current location, this thing is just much larger.Perhaps it's time to rethink your gaming equipment placement? Times of consoles without any active cooling have long passed, yet people still insist on cramming modern high power consoles into tight media cabinet shelves.

Who has the digital edition? Seems like everyone got the disk drive version. The Digital edition looks a lot better in video, I always thought it looked weird in the promo pictures.
There is a stream at the top of this page.Who has the digital edition? Seems like everyone got the disk drive version.

Um, I don't know what your previous unboxing experiences are like . . . but isn't that kind the norm? That unboxing experience is pretty underwhelming all things considered. Just a plain box with the accessories and the big boy underneath.
Who cares? It's packaging. If it safely delivers the product, we're good. At least that's my view on it.Gotta say from the leaks the Series X packaging seems better and more thought out. The PS5 packaging is basically the same as PS4 Pro but in a bigger box.

It's gotta look fly sitting in my crawlspace where it will wait to be thrown away at some point in the future when I say something to the effect of, "why in the fuck do I still have this box?"I legit didn't realize people cared so much about what's inside of a box you're only going to look at once, maybe twice.
I watched a couple of videos though no one addressed this. Can you point me to the source?People have repeatedly confirmed that the HDMI cable is 2.1 compatible.
"God it's huge."
"But better now?"
"It looks like a fucked up clam."
Today we can finally answer the question many people have been asking: Just where the heck do you put a PlayStation 5?
It's a far more cumbersome device to situate than any console in recent memory and it's been an interesting exercise for us at Launcher to figure out where to display and store this thing.
