I thought it was really weird that Microsoft kept specifying that the Xbox uses locked clocks. I thought to myself, isn't that what all console's do?
thats crazy. ill get the ps5 for exclusives but im happy i still have my gaming pc for xbox eclusivesXbox is over 20 percent better. It has more memory bandwidth and faster cpu too.
Well, it is not exactly the way things appear. I think it needs a bit of clarification beyond the spec sheet, and even from Sony themselves.
I recommend reading the article to contextualise the GPU clocks and CPU clocks.
I don't understand why Sony would want to keep the price the same 7 years later. Accounting for inflation alone, $400 in 2013 would be $444 today, not to mention plenty of gamers would be willing to pay more for power.
The 825gb probably have to account for the extra 100gb+ for the OS
Variable frequency on a console? What is it based on? Temps? That would be bad.
It's a boost clock, most games will never get to that number, and if they do it will be for a few seconds.Holy shit at that GPU clock. How are they going to keep that cool without it sounding like a jet-engine?
Weaker everything. Lockheart.
I assume it's 1TB but they slashed part of its capacity for extended longevity.
PS5 $499:
CPU Zen 2 @ 3.2GHz
GPU Navi 10 Teraflops
RAM 16GB GDDR6
ROM 1TB NVMe SSD
Anaconda $499:
CPU Zen 2 @ 3.2GHz
GPU Navi 12 Teraflops
RAM 16GB GDDR6
ROM 1TB NVMe SSD
Isn't there something about dram and using SSD as the ram earlier. Maybe 50+ gigs is reserved for game cache.Considering windows is not 100 GB and is a full OS, that is... not it.
Nah, but game comparisons will pivot from Digitial Foundry to some dude with a stopwatch showing how the PS5 loaded a scene .00005ms faster than the X so PS5 is clearly the superior versionGet ready for hundreds of "ouch", "yikes', "big yikes", "lmao" etc shitposts.
Era is going to be rough these few days.
