Reviews are out and still no information about whether or not PS5s Tempest engine works with amps or dacs... We need an audiophile review :D I wanna use my DT 1990 with a good amp or dac. I don't want to plug them into the controller. :/
Im sure they told us it headphone only for now they going add TV and other things later updatesReviews are out and still no information about whether or not PS5s Tempest engine works with amps or dacs... We need an audiophile review :D
Now the thread's slowing down a little, gonna re-pimp this one...
If anyone has any questions, let me know - and get subbed & all that... This review cycle has almost broken me :P
Activities, how effective this OS feature is in the games you tested?
Yeah. They've said the the 3D audio works through the 3.5 jack and USB port. I have an USB dac/amp combo. That's why I'm wondering.Im sure they told us it headphone only for now they going add TV and other things later updates
I've been reading the Polygon FAQ and I am a bit annoyed that there isnt any PS5 Dynamic themes or any themes at all for that matter. Also it appears that Sony have shafted everyone who doesnt have PS+ and wants to backup their PS5 saves as the PS5 doesnt support USB for save games.
Nice.Lightning quick. You hit square, you're taken to the exact spot within seconds.
Holy shit those reviews are raving. Clear contrast to XSX. I just read a line or two on it being silent, but have most outlets been impressed with it being silent/cool?
But the Sony's videos from yesterday said you could tranfer your saves using USB, unless they only meant PS4 games saves.
Big difference in reviews seems to be the availability of new games, wouldn't say the other parts are showing much of a contrast.Holy shit those reviews are raving. Clear contrast to XSX. I just read a line or two on it being silent, but have most outlets been impressed with it being silent/cool?
I should of clarified more. According to Polygon you can transfer PS4 saves with USB but not PS5 saves.
I have a question if it has been answered by someone. Let's say my son wants to play on PS4 at the same time as I play PS5 on the same account, is that possible? Or will it sign one of us out?
Kotaku's review is a bit idiotic, isn't it?
"My technological illiteracy kept me from getting too excited during lead system architect Mark Cerny's deep-dive presentation on the PlayStation 5's innards—I still have no idea what a teraflop is and I refuse to learn"

USGamer said:...it's going to offer a significantly better experience, thanks to its fast loading times and stronger hardware, than you had with your PlayStation 4. And the DualSense is one of the best controllers I've ever held. I just hope that other developers use it as creatively as those who made Astro's Playroom.
PS5 having a playtime counter that retroactively tells you your PS4 game time is a gamechanger.
Seems to be acceptable for half of America rn when it comes to one job in particular.Imagine if "I refuse to do my job" was acceptable in any other field.
Oh wow i missed that. That's indeed pretty nice.PS5 having a playtime counter that retroactively tells you your PS4 game time is a gamechanger.
Check the frontpage, one outlet is saying 4 hours and another 2 hours playing Astro's playroom.
It's OK with all the features on.
Everyone keeps on saying there isn't any reason to buy these new consoles. You can play these on your PS4 (pro). I still have a launch PS4 and I did not upgrade to the Pro. All these media sites assume we all upgraded mid-gen. Going from my launch PS4 to a new PS5 is going to be awesome! I can't wait!
This is correct and I've asked Sony for clarification on it.
I think you have to treat it like having two consoles before, with primary console shenanigans. But with my account just signed into both consoles, load Ghost of Tsushima on one shut the game down on the other.
Any mention of game sharing? More specifically, playing games using same account on ps4 and ps5 at the same time.
Is quick resume really needed when it boots games in ~7 seconds anyway?
I assume Metro jumped the gun on this review too, oops.
4 Hours standing on top of a fan in Astro with constant rumble on the highest setting.
thread on the homepage, its actually less than 4 hours. supposedly at least. take with a grain of salt perhaps.
