GAME PREVIEW - Calling a product shoddy when it is in Game Preview is not fair. This is NOT THE OFFICIAL RELEASE OF THE GAME.
I can't be the only one who HATES click to ADS.
Why isn't it just hold the trigger? So frustrating and unnecessary.

Yes. Of course.

Watching TwoAngryGamers play this on the normal XB1 on Twitch. Fuuuuuuck me. They put this on store shelves? Between the framerate, extremely low IQ, and input lag, it seems to be in a pretty abhorrent state for something you're selling to people. It should be a free alpha until they properly optimize this thing.
Anyone else find the HDR makes the game way too dark? Considering how important seeing things in the distance is I feel like I can't see shit at times. Think I'm going to disable HDR when I play this.
Has anyone from MS or BlueHole released a statement about why there isn't a trial for this? Like, is it at all possible the store is glitched or something?
Early access is an absolute bullshit excuse for something that's on physical shelves. Even by early access standards this is in a shit state.
What? When? They even include pictures so you can do your own pixel counting which they took for reference. His videos give a lot of wrong information about resolution would wait for digital foundry
Got 12 yesterday. But I'm sure others can do even better.that's so awesome!!
Does anyone know the top amount of kills a person who won got?
Microsoft has told us in a statement that the missing trial is due to server stability, and it'll be coming at a later date.

At least it's only 30 bucks though?
Makes sense. Servers probably are getting crushed even without trial.Microsoft has told us in a statement that the missing trial is due to server stability, and it'll be coming at a later date.
Coming from someone who played Rust a TON on PC back in the day and Ark on xbox and ps4, it seems a bit better than at least those two examples. The game runs pretty well once on the ground so to me, that seems already a bit ahead of those examples I gave.Early access is an absolute bullshit excuse for something that's on physical shelves. Never played Ark i guess. :DEarly access is an absolute bullshit excuse for something that's on physical shelves. Even by early access standards this is in a shit state.

Ark was insanely bad I do remember that.Coming from someone who played Rust a TON on PC back in the day and Ark on xbox and ps4, it seems a bit better than at least those two examples. The game runs pretty well once on the ground so to me, that seems already a bit ahead of those examples I gave.
Ark wasn't acceptable either IMO for the money they were charging. They've since made good on their game though.
Yes it's way way too dark and has no settings to change.Anyone else find the HDR makes the game way too dark? Considering how important seeing things in the distance is I feel like I can't see shit at times. Think I'm going to disable HDR when I play this.

Oh yeah no on consoles Ark is still a piece of shit that they have the gull to charge $60 for.Not really. Its just utter crap on consoles and the game is out of preview for a while.
I'll be shocked if this is the res, the it is pretty awful if it really is native 4k.Playerunknowns Battlegrounds on Xbox One X renders at a native resolution of 3840 x 2160.
Well. There it is.
Now all they need to do is to optimize the CPU routines and get the highres textures in.
What's the overall plan/schedule for full release, on both PC and Xbox? I've followed the game just because of the hype but am ignorant to the details of when they will consider it in a "final" or "complete" state (outside of normal content additions).
They should drop the resolution a bit and get a locked solid 30fps.Playerunknowns Battlegrounds on Xbox One X renders at a native resolution of 3840 x 2160.

PC is out now and at 1.0.
Xbox version is atm at 0.5 and no timetable.
The framerate is due to CPU utilization, I believe. Not the rez. They should drop the resolution a bit and get a locked solid 30fps.

I have a lot of friends on my list that play this and have been playing it for quite some time...Not really. Its still utter crap on consoles and the game is out of preview for a while.
The image quality is great. It's the textures that make everything look a bit low-res.I'll be shocked if this is the res, the it is pretty awful if it really is native 4k.
Again. I don't think GPU is the problem at all. There are no great effects going on that the engine offers to render. They should drop the resolution a bit and get a locked solid 30fps.
Good work tracking that down.
I don't know why the shelves matter? It's still a digital code, still a digital game, and still clearly represented as being a preview/early access title.
And I dunno if I agree about the state of things, at least from an Xbox One X perspective.
Anyone else find the HDR makes the game way too dark? Considering how important seeing things in the distance is I feel like I can't see shit at times. Think I'm going to disable HDR when I play this.
Jup.Gotcha. So 1.0 is considered a full release and no longer preview? I guess once Xbox hits 1.0 it goes to full price or too early to speculate?
That's the thing everyone predicted would make the console versions fucked.I don't think that would fix anything. The main problem is CPU from everything loading up. Even dropping the resolution wouldn't fix that.
