One of our cats would look out the window at our peahen with thoughts of pouncing. One day when this cat was still very young, when I opened the door to give the pea some treats, the cat leapt out the door. The peahen stepped aside, got tall, and the cat quickly came back inside.HELP!
A peacock we had before the hen would display when our outdoor cat came near. That cat wasn't interested, but it was pretty cool to see the bird's defense.

I don't agree with the premise of the tweet, that teenagers not knowing history from before their grandparents were born is "terrifying". But I do agree that "Helen Keller was that Nazi guy" is very funny.
Dunno if I would call it "terrifying" but we should definitely be teaching students about Adolf fucking Hitler and the basics of World War 2.

TNG was a part of my childhood and I somehow never noticed the intro differed from season to season. The planet stuff at the beginning isn't even close to subtle. And the season 5 "glamour" title screen is screaming "notice me" (and yet I didn't).

That's the teacher's job. If they all knew the stuff he was there to teach, he would be redundant.
