Picross 3DX Professor Layton, exploring the world and solving Picross puzzles to solve the mystery and find clues.Lol, looks crazy. I'm not familiar with the source material but I'd love to play this, I want some new weird takes on picross.
Like a full-on jrpg with picross 3d as its battle system or something.
I can't be the only one that thought this was a crossover with that weird Pikmin-like Overlord game from a decade ago?
1 new game, "Picross Lord of the Nazarick" is the title, it's an Overlord-themed picross game.

I have only ever liked Jupiter Picross games. Don't care about anything else. Jupiter Picross = in.
not yet, but the last licensed one was localized so it's likely that this one will as well.Any info on an English version? Don't know anything about the anime, but always looking for more Picross.
This is a strange crossover, but sure.
How were the later seasons of Overlord? I enjoyed the first season but never kept up.
Its story is set in the Great Tomb of Nazarick, immediately following the founding of the Nation of Darkness, where Ainz Ooal Gown and his subordinates look back on their exploits thus far. By solving Picross puzzles, you will recall the memories of the characters and key items that revolve around their story.
a day before fire emblem! WHY?!
it would be great but i think it's not very likely since konami has their own picross game now.I'm going to buy every version of Picross they make. A Castlevania branded one would be soooo good.
no reason, basically. it's the same exact game. it's just more puzzles with [imo] the best UI of any picross game.Konami's Pixel Puzzle Collection was my first ever exposure to Picross. It has shittons of puzzles (which I'm nearing completion of) and it was free (with ads). Other than what seems to be higher production values, why should I be paying this much for what seems to be the exact same gameplay? Am I missing something?
i doubt they have the budget to do VA.
Color picross, better UI, better controls.Konami's Pixel Puzzle Collection was my first ever exposure to Picross. Overlord completely lost me early on in season 1, when an ally to the main character got brutally murdered, her eyes gouged out and all, and the main character not being able to muster any kind of emotion. Him losing empathy is a plot point, but not one I care for.
lol, it'll probably be the tutorial 5x5 puzzle
If you own a phone, there's literally hundreds of free Picross games. Many are better than the ones Jupiter keeps low-efforting.I just hope this is better than Kemono Friends, because that one is just anime girls in 95% of the puzzles and while I'm hard up for Picross, I'm not so desperate that I'll take a bunch of puzzles with solutions that all look the same.
if S4 is Goat tier CGI, idk if I can stomach it...
other companies are free to develop picross games without paying nintendo, they just can't call it picross. picross is a made-up name anyway, the original name is nonogram. It's still pretty funny that Nintendo own the "Picross" name and other companies buy a licence to develop those games like we're talking about Tetris.
i just remembered something! i really hope there's some acknowledgement here if you do a puzzle with no assists. normal S games have that for every puzzle as well as every mode if you do all puzzles in that mode with no assist, but [as silly as it sounds] i didn't buy the kemono friends picross game because it didn't have that.

not really. the creator of tetris came up with its concept and mechanics and trademarked them along with the name, whereas nonograms as a concept are free game and belong to no one in particular. what nintendo has done is just put a specific name on the nonograms names they've published, and since those games have been so popular their brand has become synonymous with the concept. Is it the same with Tetris? You can make a Tetris game without the licence, you just have to name it "Falling Puzzle" or something like that?
