Devil May Cry - - > Bullet Hell/Danmaku

Aside from the fact that DMC already has both bullets and hell, it also has a wide variety of guns and bosses. I'd love that.

Fallout as a Jrpg would be cool af. Defined protagonist with a linear story, a party of characters with their own story arcs, in the Fallout setting.

It could even be a shooter with vats system, with something like gambit to control allies or the option to control the entire party classic Fallout style.

Turn Mass Effect into a visual novel... the gameplay and level design in those games are average, just focus on your characters and choices.

Persona as a first-person VR game. When in combat, you use your gun for direct attacks and various hand gestures or optional voice commands to direct your Persona. The life sim stuff would be similar but, again, in first-person.

- Kirby, but it is like Dark Souls.
- Pokémon, but it is an 3D Open-World RPG game, something like Skyrim, idk, but still with turn-based battles. Like, do you want to sneak on a Pokémon and throw a Pokéball instead of battling it? Sure, do it. Do you prefer winning contest instead of going for the gyms? You can also do that. And then the main history is about something else, involving legendaries and what not.

Pokémon X Hunting Action (Monster Hunter) - Could probably use ancient or corrupted forms so that it doesn't look like you're slaying the current Pokémon. The current forms can act as sidekicks (e.g. Palicos); they can get crafted gear as well.

Monster Hunter X Fitness/Exercise (Ring Fit Adventure) - I think you could transplant the Monsters, loot and Armour/Weapon crafting systems into the game, but with the Ring Fit stuff used to do the battling (not necessarily turn-based).

Nioh, but Kart Racing - each kart has 3 instances that allow more speed, control or a bit of both. If you stance change while getting a turbo (through slidding) you get a boost in your stamina (turbo) bar. Yokai Soul cores appear on the race and you slowly charge anima to use them. You can counter any soul attack if you have enough anima, the counter boosts you and slows the attacker.

There is A LOT of loot, each single bolt of your kart can be level 180 divine +30.

Control as a first person detective game, where you have supernatural powers to solve the mysteries. Similar to Obra Dinn where you could control time. Investigate how each item of control works and how they ended up killing people. When you find the solution you also find the means of controlling them.

The Last of Us as a true survival exploration game. You need to manage your resources, tend to your wounds and learn to navigate a much wider map. Climb up a tower to see your final destination and then set your route. It's up to you if you take the shorter but more hostile path.

Florence is perfect as it is, but it'd be interesting to see it as a Life is Strange-style game.

Kingdom Hearts

Fighting Game

Seriously, nobody cares that fighting game stories are absolutely bonkers - Tell me Guilty Gear's story you liar! It would make so much more sense for the series to keep revisiting the same stages over and over again!

Like come on, it's bad when it's "Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep 0.2 -a fragmentary passage-" but it's cool when it's "Under Night in Birth Exe:Late[cl-r]"?

We would have people discussing favorite characters, stages, and themes instead of just making fun of the story! "Yeah my favorite character is Xion, she came from the DS port of KH2 that added some extra backstory for Roxas. It's kind of a weird origin but now she's in a main game everyone's playing! I love the Twilight Town clock tower stage and the remix of Vector to the Heavens in KH3 season 2 was amazing."

This started as a joke answer but the parallels kept coming.

Take the Alien franchise and....

1. Make a Telltale style narrative horror game in the vein of the first movie. Avarage Joe's with little to no conventional weaponry stuck on a ship/in an instillation with one of the creatures.

2. Give the Colonial Marines a turn based strategic rpg like X-com style game without the creatures the franchise is famous for.

Undertake rhythm game. The tunes are up there and some of the fights are kind of rhythm based already.

Tokyo
Animal Crossing, but it's now an open world RPG game without combat; just a big adventure where you roam the world, explore new lands, recent and ancient cities, searching for building methods, artifacts, fossils, and so on to improve your village and your home. Each city has its own culture, side missions, and new friends. The world is BIG, bigger than BOTW. The name? I'm glad you asked. Animal Crossing Adventure.

Reboot Resistance Franchise as dark, gritty third person shooter.

Tomb Raider as a ring-fit style adventure game

Sonic as an open-world action-RPG

GTA as a city builder that you then play in

Killzone can work as:

-RTS game C&C style. Two campaigns for each side (maybe also a third one) and a MP similiar to Red Alert 2. The series has plenty of cool stuff to create awesome units.

-Fallout style RPG set where you explore the world of Killzone. There is a very cool universe and it would be great to actually live in that world.

-Dishonored style Killzone Mercenary sequel. You get a bunch of contracts and you will go on doing them in your own way with plenty of different routes and methods. Have the story be choice driven similiar to Shinobido 2 depending on how you play and what contracts you choose.

FIFA, but survival horror, off the pitch you have to evade the vicious paparazzi while trying to escape back to your modest €50 million mansion

Metroid as a survival horror game.

Samus loses her armor and has to take on monsters without her normal abilities. Monsters which were easy to take out with her armor are now much scarier.

Include a final act in which she gets her armor back and just destroys all the enemies that have been a big pain the entire game for maximum fan service.

Imagining it plays like a Resident Evil game.

Star-Fox Racing made too much sense

Would also be cool to see Final Fantasy go for a musou spin-off, or have Splatoon go for a strategy game

Smash Bros.

A 2D fighter instead of a platform fighter/party game.

Smash into a 2D fighter instead of a platform fighter

2D fighter means less than you people think it means

SF2, KOF, Samurai Shodown, Blazblue, Marvel vs Capcom, Footsies, Time killers or even the Cho Aniki fighting game are all 2d fighters and they could not be more different
....i mean Rivals of Aether is a 2d fighter and you can find people saying even Smash itself is a 2d fighter since it only works on a 2d plane =P

So ... hwo do you people want smash to work in 2d ?

God of War + Animal Crossing

I don't even know, those were just the two that popped into my head when I read the thread title.

Star Fox as a third-person shooter and can go into flight mode whenever. Sort of like how you can call the Batmobile whenever in Arkham Knight.
