This is nice but ultimately says and means nothing. Keeping expectations low for this one.

Yup. Played like a dream.
You can't see it, but I'm drooling at the thought of this.Would anyone be interested in Ori and the Will of the Wisps in 120hz on Xbox?
I prefer games that look and perform well. I also prefer that developers decide how they want to strike that balance. Not saying that every developer makes the right choice, but I like living in a world where they get to make that choice.

Series X will be able to do both native 4K and 60fps easily for a lot of games. Our guy.
But seriously if this is the case why are we still chasing native 4K, it's a waste of resources.
Ok this would be greatWould anyone be interested in Ori and the Will of the Wisps in 120hz on Xbox?
weird that he focused so much on "True 4k" in the scorpio market then.

Wouldn't you focus on resolution? Scorpio still uses a Jaguar not a Zen 2, it's kinda obvious why their approach would be different (half step vs next gen.)weird that he focused so much on "True 4k" in the scorpio presentation then.
Does Phil read the message boards? He always knows what to say lol
I just hope we get options. What resolutions can we expect for their own titles if they favor framerate?

It easier to say that when you will have games on XB One... Of course those games will ended up being 60 FPS on Serie X...
But come back in 3 years Phil.
Well to be fair, if they really do focus on making games run from OG XB1 to XBSX, then "running the same game but at a higher frame rate" was going to be an obvious outcome for the XBSX versions.
Yep.I mean, you can tell that by looking at this gen. Halo, Forza and Gears all pushed framerate this gen and all released 60fps entries.

That's because the One X runs many of their first party games at 4K60, like Halo 5, and Gears 4/5.weird that he focused so much on "True 4k" in the scorpio market then.

It's disappointing that someone at his level is perpetuating the false "resolution/framerate" dichotomy. What about AI, loading, physics, etc.? Sure, if the CPU just happens to be at 50% utilization, you could lower the resolution and raise the framerate. But if you're actually utilizing the CPU, lowering the resolution will do *nothing*.
Probably a similar set up to Gears 5 (4k 60fps), Dynamic resolution, temporal upscale and full resolution post effects. Also next gen features like VRS etc.I just hope we get options. What resolutions can we expect for their own titles if they favor framerate?
Some people were guessing we're not only gonna see 4k, 60+ fps on next gen graphics games, but also Ray Tracing without hitches. Smelled a bit off...For games that look like current gen games sure. I'd rather see way better graphics at 1080p or checkerboard resolutions than 4K.
