There are plenty of games on switch that should run fine but are horribly optimized.

I really hope P5 runs like wet dogshit on the Switch, would be nice comeuppance to all those who wouldn't stop whinging about the darn game not being on Switch

You could just play through Royal with only completing the original requirements to get the OG ending.

It's a PS4 collection. These games were first ported to HD to the PS3. They did have a PS3 collection, but SE being SE, I doubt they kept the source code for that and made the PS4 SKU the base.

Dunno. It's feasible that P3P and P4G could drop very close to each other, though, as the reason they're both next year is that their text is being translated into French, Italian, German, and Spanish for the first time. Wouldn't be surprised if those localization projects were being done concurrently to save resources.
I can't turn off all the other extra stuff they shove into the main story though

Man, I'm torn. I've played through vanilla P5 and planned on getting Royale for the PC and just Cheat Engine my way through most of the game, but playing Royale handheld will alleviate pretty much everything.

Let's slow our roll on this until P6 is announced. Got a feeling someone drove a dump truck of money to Sega and begged on their knees to keep it off of other platforms as per usual for them.
It's crazy. By all means these games being announced for the Switch should be a massive moment after all these years of fervent speculation, but the powers that be did a great job at sucking the winds out of the reveal with exclusivity agreements for announcements (LOL) and slotting it at the end of a Mini direct. Definitely feels like a classic Atlus moment even if they had nothing to do with it.

I was hoping for this too, but I guess it would be more labor-intensive to port this to switch? Idk.
I am really happy these are coming, was hoping for a P3+P4 bundle but oh well. I'll be more likely to dedicate time to P5 on switch than on consoles.

Very tempted to pick up Royal -- was planning a NG+ replay on PS4 at some point, but I know I'll grab it at some point for the handheld novelty.
The dream would have been a P3 remake that combined elements from FES and Portable to give us a true definitive edition.
Sorry, wasn't aware. Last I saw was that they were coming to PC and Xbox, so the PS4 versions were new to me.
He also thought Mario and Rabbids was too good-looking/ambitious for the regular switch a year ago. He doesn't have a good track record with Nintendo stuff

Persona 3 games on renderware or some shit (burnout, GTA etc). They would have to port it again.
So all the people saying it would be odd for Altus/Nintendo to delay the Switch versions of the games announcement for a future Direct are looking odd now :P

He said Persona S wasn't a Persona 5 switch port, he never said that Persona would never ever come to Switch, only that specific game wasn't. And he was right.
