I would like to know what attracted you to the Xbox ecosystem

EDIT: I forgot to add "/price (Series S)" to the "Power (Series X)" option. You can vote that opcion if price is your vote
EDIT 2: OG Xbox and/or Xbox 360 can be "new to Xbox" too ;)

Bethesda Game Studios, mainly. Halo to a smaller extent. I'm not actually picking up an XSX for like a year or so but it's on the queue now and it wasn't until last week.

I'm not new to Xbox but what's kept me here, besides Halo, is Game Pass and the fact that when I moved to PC I had a heap of games already because some purchases carried across and, of course, Game Pass.

Not really new to Xbox, but I will say that the multigame quick resume is reallllly driving me to get a Series X

The value proposition of GamePass is just too good to pass up, especially as we move into a world of £70 games.

Have a Series X on the way and Gamepass Ultimate subbed for 3 years (for $181) so excited for that.

Edit, Not really New. Returning 360 owner who sat out on the One last gen.

Game Pass. I can pretty much buy the console, pay a monthly fee, and then have more than enough to play for the foreseeable future. Plus, I'll get access to PC Game Pass, which is an extra bonus.

for the record, if you're new to xbox, the current game count on game pass is about 250, and the current ea play vault count is 90

thats 340 games to play on november 10th

pretty solid

Series S really. An affordable Xbox for the TV to complement my PC, and fully take advantage of my Ultimate subscription.

I wish Play Anywhere was a bit more prevalent though.

Gamepass + Back compatibility + Getting into Microsoft Game Studios' output (Forza, Tell Me Why come in mind, but also what Arkane will do).

All the rest too tbf.

The two big things for me are Game Pass and Xbox Live. PSN is a crappy service that is worse right now than Xbox Live was ten years ago. I can't wait to not have to use it anymore.

A mixture of the excellent BC, Gamepass, and the Zenimax buyout is really pushing me for the Series X to be my first Xbox system. I was tempted before but I'm pretty confident I'm going to pick it up before a PS5.

This will be my first x-box since the original. I'm not particularly enticed by gamepass and I do think the console will be secondary to my switch/ps5 but I just have a gut feeling that there are going to be some great stuff on there this generation and there are several titles I would like to play from the previous generations. So yeah I am excited to jump back into the ecosystem after such an extended time away. It also helps that thanks to some discounts I am getting the series-x at nearly $100 off the msrp.

In for Game Pass, but I hope that MS will finally start releasing games that interest me other than Forza Horizon.

I'm coming back to Xbox in a large part due to GamePass. I just don't have the budget to buy $70/$60 games frequently, but having the option to download and play a ton of games from AAA to indie stuff for $15 a month... I can do that.

Above and beyond GamePass, I love the direction Xbox is going in from the massive growth of their first party studios to the flexibility of their cloud gaming set up. I dig the future that Xbox is advertising.

Totally skipped Xbox One generation, now joining series X bandwagon.
Looking forward to Game Pass.

I wish us folks that have always been with Xbox could see the poll results to get a quick glance of how newcomers are voting.

But I'm curious so I'll monitor the responses.

EDIT: OP fixed it, thanks!

Not new to Xbox but will answer for some casual friends in that I have heard Gamepass (which apparently I don't shut up about when talking about games), backwards compatibility (nostalgia for shit like Fallout 3/NV, Mass Effect and the Golden Age CODs being a big part of it) and also just the 12TF of power versus the 10.3TF.

Surprised price with regards to XSS hasn't been a big driver as well yet, but my friends are mostly at least semi hardcore, so that's probably why.

Not new to Xbox but what has me excited again is that they clearly care about winning customers over.

Companies in the gaming industry seem to only do their best work that way.

I need Sony to get nervous so I can get ps3 BC lol.

All of the above ;).

Game Pass is king, but thier backwards compatibility program is amazing, it looks like a slick, intelligently designed console with a ton of powerful, Bethesda being first-party now and having many of my fav devs, all the exciting pre-bethesda 1st-party studios getting lots of time to make games (finally), and being able to play Game Pass and have saves seamlessly transfer across to my phone.

Lots to get excited about.

I'm not new to Xbox, I bought the original Xbox around the launch window, bought a 360 in the first year (a had 60 titles for it!), and have had an Xbox One for years. However, this current gen I probably only played a few Halo titles and used the system for 4K blurays. I've affectively left the brand/ecosystem the last 5-6 years. Long story short, I was turned off with the exclusives MS was pushing (major series fatigue with Halo and Gears), while Sony and Nintendo kept pumping out stuff I cared for.

Howeverrrr, I'm pretty much back. Sony is bungling a lot of the PS5 launch stuff and it's turning me off. Reminding me a bit of Sony during the PS3 era. At the same time Microsoft is doing something very compelling with GamePass and Backwards compatibility. Those are huge features for me and I already went and got my 3 years of GamePass loaded up. I wasn't able to get an Xbox Series X preorder which bummed me out, but there really isn't anything new to play at launch there. I love the idea of the stronger hardware as well and all the positive first impressions.

edit - and I didn't even mention the Zenimax deal, that's what instigated my interest in the Xbox again. I love old Bethesda games (Morrowind, Fallout 3, etc), and even though I don't have the biggest amount of faith in their new stuff, I absolutely want to play them.

Game Pass is the end all, be all for me. Game Pass on PC specifically. I don't even use Steam that much anymore.

Put Total War on Game Pass and I'll uninstall Steam.

I'm still getting a PS5 as my console of choice though. Their exclusives just move gaming forward in ways that other games aren't.

The only XBOX I've had is the OG, but Gamepass seems pretty attractive to me and I'm considering picking up the Series X.

Gamepass is cool. I won't be buying either though.
Do not have enough time to justify subscription.

Picked up a gaming pc a few weeks ago instead of waiting for a Series S/X and must say that I am very pleased with my purchase. I jumped on that super duper Game Pass Ultimate deal and finished Ori 2 yesterday. Such a beautiful and heartbreaking game...even more so than the first.

Game Pass for the win!

The great thing about next-gen Xbox is that there are multiple really good reasons to be interested in it, as opposed to this gen where it was pretty hard to find a reason to get excited about Xbox One. It wasn't until Game Pass came along that I felt happy with my Xbox One purchase.

Interesting results so far. Backward compatibility being a bigger factor than Bethesda games was not expected but very cool to see.

I'd add BC to Gamepass as the redeeming qualities for XB1. First party output was disappointing nearly all gen, and the console itself was weak compared to PS4.

Series X looks like they'll be firing on all cylinders which is exciting.

When I had the 360 I never really liked the exclusive content, mainly played third party titles there. Now, with all those studios Microsoft bought (with Bethesda being the final straw for me to switch) + Gamepass, I don't see a reason to stay on the Playstation. Specially because here in Brazil each game will cost R$350 now, and the Gamepass Ultimate costs R$44,99. (For reference, the minimum wage here is R$1039).

Switching over for gamepass - i've been using it on PC for a few months now and love it. Also really want to play Flight Sim on XSX when the port arrives since my pc is absolutely destroyed by it haha.
