Not that Casey's is amazing pizza, and I am not sure if its regional, but they have had taco pizza since I was a kid. Its delicious. Also taco pizza is a top seller at most of the pizza places around me (IL)

Hard tacos? And as to OP, it's not just chips, it's the lettuce and all the other cold ingredients too. Which is a terrible idea.

Pizza nachos (https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/food-network-kitchen/pizza-nachos-recipe-2105570) are better than taco pizza I think.
