Mt. Whatever
I'm still not really sure what's going on with them it's straight up weird how they are always shunning western platforms
Catherine is as far as i know the only one of their own games which ever made it on a non japanese platform they probably don't want to deal with western platform holders or something.

Yeah, I dunno.

What I do know is I got money, and Atlus doesn't want it. I'm not buying locked down hardware to play 3rd-party games anymore.

I've just realized one of the best things about PC gaming is that you can use a trainer to bypass collectible shit.

Indeed. Earlier I've complained about the ship combat in AC:Odyssey. A few minutes later I've dowloaded a cheat engine table that allowed me to bypass the anoying bits. Now, instead of having a so-so experience because of a part of the game I didn't like, I can just ignore that annoying part and have a great experience instead!

whatever system they have in place to make levels from songs seems fantastic aswell, obligatory through the fire and flames, and the motions seem pretty much spot on to the song

Happy New Year everyone!

I think we finally reached the limit of the number of games that can be released on Steam per year

Speaking of numbers. How many games did y'all finish in 2018? In the beginning of the year I tried to do the 52 games challenge but I quickly realized that it's not really possible if I want to continue playing multiple GaaS.

I still managed to complete 24 games. Witcher 3 and CoD4 were second playthroughs but besides that everything was new. The list is kinda light on indies. I definitely have to play more of them in 2019.

Code:
Planescape: Torment 37h
Lara Croft GO 5h
Quantum Break 10h
Clustertruck 3h
Life is Strange: Before the Storm 11h
Nex Machina 1.5h
The Witcher 3 86h
Epistory - Typing Chronicles 5h
Trails of Cold Steel 2 80h
Call of Duty 4: Remastered 5h
Assassin's Creed: Origins 36h
Super Mario Odyssey 12h
The Last of Us: Remastered 12h
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune 6h
What Remains of Edith Finch 2h
Yakuza 0 71h
Spider-Man 15h
Wolfenstein 2 11h
Destiny 2: Forsaken (unknown hours, thanks battle.net)
Assassin's Creed: Odyssey 78h
DELTARUNE - Chapter 1 3h
Beat Saber 4h
Final Fantasy XV 30h
Black Mesa / Half-Life 10h

Planescape Torment and Yakuza 0 are probably my favourites this year. Cold Steel 2, The Last of Us and AC: Odyssey were pretty damn good as well.

Some more stats:

I've bought around 127 games this year for a bit less than 300€.
There are only 10 games I've bought that were more expensive than 10€, and they make up 180€.
93 games were from bundles for a total of 49€.

Of the 52 games I've completed:
  • 35 were games I've bought this year.
  • 13 were games I've bought in 2017, and a lot of those were from December sales/bundles.
  • 1 game was from 2016.
  • 2 games were from 2014
  • 1 I'm not really sure about, but a few years at least.

It's the modders doing all of this. They seriously made this into one of the greatest games of the year. Everything is perfectly built into the game once you download a single mod.

Beat Saber on PC is amazing.

Btw, that gif...

Finished 74 games this year, but yeah too much long GaaS games and too little time to do more.

My guests will arrive soon, so I'm already wishing everyone a happy new year!

Let's hope that 2019 will be a wonderful gaming year, with many great games and few Epic Store exclusives ;)

I finished around 50 this year, about 18 of those came out this year. What's crazy is I realized I technically didn't finish a single AAA game released this year, I got kinda burnt out replaying the first 3 levels of Hitman 2 over and over so I haven't finished, and got tired of Thronebreaker halfway through.

A lot more than I initially thought.
  1. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (the first episode)
  2. Deltarune (the first chapter, or whatever this short demo is called)
  3. Dream Quest
  4. Fidel Dungeon Rescue
  5. Fighting Fantasy Legends
  6. Gamebook Adventures (two of them: i) Curse of the Assassin, ii) An Assassin in Orlandes)
  7. Hyper Light Drifter
  8. Magicka 2
  9. Slay the Spire (with the first two characters)
  10. Stikbold! A Dodgeball Adventure
  11. Stories: The Path of Destinies
  12. Super Lucky's Tale
  13. Tharsis (easy mode)
  14. The Dark Eye: Demonicon
  15. Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales
  16. Yooka-Laylee
There are only 10 games I've bought that were more expensive than 10€, and they make up 180€.

In my case, there were 6 games which cost more than 10 €, and I finished 1-3 of them, depending on what one means by "finish". The unfinished ones are:
  • Into the Breach (I have never finished FTL either, the game is just hard)
  • Shenmue
  • Yakuza 0

No clue how many I finished, would have to look it up on Steam. I guess I'll make a list of them when I have to make my entry for Steam and Era GOTY.

0 finished games.

I tried: GoW, RDR2, Spiderman, Ni No Kuni 2, Dead Cells, some others (I must have done...).

Spent most of my time with Desitny and Fortnite: Save The World with some Hearhtstone thrown in.

Yeap, you can do everything after game ends. But honestly I wouldn't recomend you to go after 100%, you will be doing same things over and over again.
I don't know if I can help it, but that remains to be seen. Maybe the fact that there's no sync percentage this time will help. But then on the flipside there's steam achievements.
Also the moment I though was prelude to the ending, well, I suppose technically it was but man the game just keeps going.

edit:
Also here are these codes that no one said that they took (as far as I saw anyway) so I assume they are still available.

Closing threads and banning people are not games :P

I went crazy when i did 100% for base game and DLCs earlier this year.

I still don't get why Rosa could do the things she could do at the end of Blackwell Epiphany. She made Jesus' miracles look like child's play.
Still a great game, though.
