Throughout the Marvel's Avengers development process, Intel and Crystal Dynamics worked closely to perfect the superhero experience for PC gamers and optimize for the best PC gameplay for those playing on Intel Core processors. As the exclusive CPU partner on Marvel's Avengers, Intel collaborated with the game's developers to create detailed visuals and special effects that completely immerse players, giving them a truly interactive cinematic experience.

Intel helped develop PC-exclusive Avengers graphics improvements

Better graphics for Intel processors.

Explains why the game is strangely CPU intensive. But, also, OP:

The Intel optimizations were developed for 4-, 8-, and 10-core machines, with low, medium, and high options that are tuned to each of those processor types. That means whether you have an entry-level gaming PC or a top-of-the-line rig, you'll still get some kind of benefit when playing Avengers. That said, while these features were developed by Intel, all PC players will be able to take advantage of them in some form, not just Intel users

How about next-gen consoles? They must be powerful enough to use these, right?
I hate to break it to you, but next gen consoles are VERY powerful, especially for the price point, but they are not ever going to match a 1500 dollar PC.
Which is how this entire industry has been since the advent of 3d.

Is this a first in awhile where it has special CPU features? Usually it's GPU that gets unique tech.

I assume some of this will also be on PS5/XBSX, no ray tracing though or is that default? Not shocking good ass rigs can give that detail.

Reminds me of Nvidia's PhysX tech.
Which is now open source.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's exactly that, but running on a CPU.

These aren't CPU specific. They're PC specific. AMD systems will benefit as well.
Maybe i'm reading it bad? But isn't it saying that the game has exclusive Intel graphic options?
It explicitly states that isn't the case.

This is completely normal, regular pc's are way, WAY far ahead with performance and have often tons of potential to further increase visual fidelity besides just simple frame rate and resolution. Bigger games also often go either AMD (e.g. Horzion Zero Dawn) or Nvidia (e.g. Death Stranding) to further specialised features to make the most of their respective gpu's. It's honestly rather sad to see when games won't take advantage of it (especially if you own a RTX card and it won't support DLSS 2.0 like Horzion Zero Dawn which it would heavily benefit from it due to its performance hunger).

The only notable thing is that Intel actually is the company who's sponsored them (normally it's either Nvidia or AMD).

Lol there is a clear difference. I dunno why the haters are out saying it doesnt look any different. Its about time we get these things on pc games, this parity bullshit has gone long enough

It's not weird or new for PC hardware manufacturers to work with a game to have special features that take advantage of their hardware.

Currently I'm on a Intel cpu, but I hope I can turn it off with how bad this game ran in beta, requiring dynamic resolution. Hopefully the final game is much better, but the crazy amount of debris was one of the things I assumed hurt performance, and this seem to add a ton more.

I know that, but isn't this suppose to run on "entry level" PCs too?

Also, this is launching around the start of next gen, this might not be a good look for the new consoles if they can't run these effects. Especially for the PS5, since there will be a 2nd life for the game when Spider-Man hits, and lots of people will be getting the PS5 version.

Also exclusive to PC: 16x anisotropic filtering.

I'm a sucker for particle effects, they look amazing.

This genuinely may change my pre order to the pc version of the game.

I'm sure Sony will recover.

Entery level PCs trun down visual options on every game they play.

If this does remain exclusive to PC, then don't you see the hypocrisy of moaning it about it while brining up a character exclusive to PS5 as some kind of reason why it should be there too?

That marvel deal with the marketing art makes more sense now.

Why the question mark in the OP title? You can read the blog entry to know exactly how it works and what is exclusive!

I'm not sure people really understand just how inferior jaguar cpu is to current PC cpus. I know DF has some great videos on this, but the gap has only widened even further at this point.
