Who knew these people were up to no good? Surely there were no signs!

Glad its getting shut down but they need to also shut down facebook. Imagine the number of "MAGA" private groups that plotted the insurrection.

Pull yourself up by your bootstraps and make your own webhosting service. Stop thinking that its big tech's job to help you

Behold the economic power of the metropolitan elite. Not sad to see all these insanity echo Chambers be dismantled

The entire point of Parler was that it was unmoderated. As soon as they did moderate, people would just stick with Twitter and Facebook.

Actually that was just a myth from the get-go anyway. The claim of being unmoderated was just the go-to line to say when the racism, anti-Semitism, sexism, and general Nazism flooded the site. "Who are we to say no to such words, for we are unmoderated, we allow all speech" - all while also listing the specific kinds of speech they actually moderated against.

New users start as shadowbanned and don't get to have their posts seen until a moderator approves the way they use Parler.

Parler users love to say it's unmoderated, but it's actually completely untrue. It's just their coded way of saying "racism is welcome here."

Maybe they can use Wechat.

I joke, but sadly there are dumb Chinese people spreading garbage on Wechat a lot. Luckily, my parents at least ask me when they hear something they thought was outlandish.

Shouldn't be surprised. Its never really is about "MAH FREE SPEECH" except when it comes to want to spout racist shit and not face any consequences for it.

Is 2021 the year when all their shittyness of 2020 starts to have consequences?

Yes, well, you know...

Allowing your platform to organize terrorist attacks and threaten murder can do that to a company.
