FAQ
Q: What is Paramount+?
A: Paramount+ is a rebranding and expansion of CBS All Access. Once Paramount+ launches, CBS All Access will no longer exist.

Q: What content will be on Paramount+?
A: Paramount+ will have everything that CBS All Access has (originals, TV back catalogue, live sports) as well as a large selection of films and TV from Paramount's back catalogue. New Paramount releases will be added to the service after a theatrical window of 90 days (30-45 days for bigger movies like A Quiet Place Part II and Mission Impossible 7). They have also licensed content from Epix, so movie franchises like James Bond will be available on the service as well. Announcements for new originals can be found here.

Q: Does Paramount+ support 4K?
A: Yes, though at this time we do not know what 4K content will be available.

Q: If I have CBS All Access, how do I access Paramount+?
A: Download the Paramount+ app on March 4th, log in with your CBS All Access credentials, delete the CBS All Access app.

I had forgotten that cbs was going to turn into paramount +, shows you that even at $10 it was hard to subscribe to cbs all access.

But I still got the deal at $25

So, what's the Mandalorian for this streaming service at launch? The thing that gets everyone to subscribe day one?

Following this thread closely after Avatar Studios was announced. This is suddenly a Disney+/HBO Max Tier important streaming service for me.

I hope this makes it over to the UK before the Halo TV show premieres on the service next year. Looking forward to hearing impressions of the service from everyone who access much sooner though.

It's the same price as CBS All Access. I think I got the ad version price wrong though.
Nope it's stated in the article... CBS All Access was $5.99 for the ad version and it will now be $4.99:

Then, an ad-supported tier ($4.99) will launch in June 2021 and offer the best in sports, news, and entertainment. At that time, the current $5.99 plan will no longer be available for new users, but existing CBS All Access users will maintain grandfathered access.

The statement is completely silly... "Grandfathered access" so you can pay a buck more per month!

Have they said how the Apple TV channels deal will work? I currently do the cbs all access/showtime deal for 9.99. Will that continue?

My takeaway from that presentation is that they are really going after the mainstream in a way that will probably bring them success.

A lot of the content they showed today was flatly unappealing to me, but it seemed very aware of hitting four-quadrant appeal as well as many, many audience niches. Definitely a full-court press effort from one of the biggest media conglomerates.

Shout-out to all the homies who said All Access would be dead in the water. Looks like you win come March 4th.

I'm looking forward to maybe having something to watch with my cbs all access sub. Granted the Avatar the last airbender stuff won't be until mid to late 2022 if not 2023 given the movie isn't even in production yet.

If I'm understanding correctly, keeping the old plan where you pay a dollar more per month would allow you to continue streaming your local CBS channel, whereas if you switched to the new cheaper plan, you would not be able to do that anymore. If that's true I think I may keep the grandfathered plan and not switch to the cheaper one, but I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding their explanation of the tiers!

Paramount Plus Pricing: Base Package Will Cost Less Than CBS All Access, but There’s a Catch

ViacomCBS outlined new pricing, content and other details for Paramount Plus, its bulked-up streaming platform set to debut March 4.

Yup you're right. It'll still get NFL live games but not the CBS station stream.

Taking into consideration how serious Viacom is about Paramount+, I'm shocked they didn't save Clone High for this service.

As of right now, I think so? The bundle is gone for new people but it's still there if you keep it, and there's a pre-roll on CBSAA content now that says it'll turn into Paramount+ and you don't have to do anything.

So just cancelled my Amazon CBS All Access channel and signed up directly via Paramount Plus to get the 50% off the first year. Wasn't as confusing to do as HBO Max.

Yikes, isn't the $25 deal for 18 months still going on? If so, that's probably a much better deal.

I'm in if the Sportline deal honors the free sub when it moves over to Paramount Plus (I think most of us are still a little worried).

But if it doesn't, I'm not subbing until way down the line when they actually have new stuff out, I think.

I still don't get the appeal of the sports/news stuff that is on their broadcast networks. I can understand it as added value but I don't really see it as a main driver of subs. Like the NFL games are only live, right? You can't go back and watch them? Plus still region restricted to what game is showing in your region? Or are they changing that?

Maybe if I actually left the house, it would make more sense.
