Probably an OK launch for Codemasters? I'm never purchasing a nonVR racing game again though, and it's mostly their own fault for making Dirt Rally VR! F1VR would be another dream fulfilled, but not yet :(

haha. no wonder sony green lit the second one last week. I m sure now bend studio will grow bigger now .

Oh, I had no idea that had happened! Good news for Bend. I would be interested to know how much it has sold by now. And weren't they due to get their own motion capture studio if the game sold well? I wonder if that will be built.

Some quotes from Gamesindustry biz:
The arrival of the game coincides with a significant marketing push for the console, which has seen a number of Switch titles rise up the charts. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe jumps from No.8 to No.5 with a 39% increase in sales week-on-week, while Super Smash Bros Ultimate rounds off the Top Ten at No.10, rising 14% in sales. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild also rose up 66% in sales and is at No.11 (up from No.22). The 2017 game misses out on the Top Ten by just 28 copies.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled may have had to relinquish No.1, but it still holds No.2, with a respectable 48% drop in sales week-on-week.
Last week saw the release of the 30 pound rshop voucher bundle at the same price as the normal sku, so that and SMM2 are the reasons why Switch is up and why evergreens are growing substantially.

First week number for CTR was 57k approximately, so this week is roughly 30k. That should put SMM2 above 30k (which already was the lower end of what I could discern from other information). Chris Dring also said that SMM2 is not in the top 3 of the year, but that was to be expected since the top 3 is RE2, Days Gone, and CTR (or KH3?) and all of those performed above the upper limit we can establish for SMM2 (which is 51,870).

I didn't mention it before but the sudden re-entry of a bunch in Switch titles in Spain surprised me. Was there a sale?

No sale. A lot of kids aged 8-9 take first communion and get presents because of this in May and June. Portables are always one of the most gifted products.

Nintendo also increases marketing spend on those periods.

Communion ended first week of June. Got any better reasoning for this specific week?

GAME shops had a special promotion last two weeks. It was called "ESPECIAL FIN DE CURSO". It ended on 30th of June.
Probably other shops had something similar after Days of Play.

OK, and there is a new sale campaign right now in GAME shops. It is called "El mejor verano con Nintendo", running from 28/06 until 07/07.

From that article in Vandal.net:
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled PS4: 20.600
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Switch: 5.300
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Xbox One: 850

Bloodstained Ritual of the Night PS4: 1200
Bloodstained Ritual of the Night Xbox One: 250

I've compiled the hardware numbers for Spain (thanks to El Manco, tolkir and others for writing them up every week! Link to the archive). Note that numbers started in week 7, and week 8 is missing. That said, here's the result:

Total for the year (note that not all weeks of the year are included!):
Switch = 85,100
PS4 = 72,500
XB1 = 11,690

Weekly numbers:
Code:
Week 7:
PS4: 3,600
NSW: 2,900
XBO: 450

Week 9:
PS4: 3,700
NSW: 2,500
XBO: 350

Week 10:
NSW: 3,200
PS4: 2,900
XBO: 390

Week 11:
PS4: 3,050
NSW: 2,650
XBO: 550

Week 12:
PS4: 3,150
NSW: 2,900
XBO: 600

Week 13:
NSW: 3 000
PS4: 2 500
XBO: 1 500

Week 14:
PS4: 3,900
NSW: 3,000
XBO: 1,200

Week 15:
PS4: 4,200
NSW: 3,400
XBO: 400

Week 16:
NSW: 4,600
PS4: 3,500
XBO: 400

Week 17:
NSW: 4,500
PS4: 4,000
XBO: 550

Week 18:
Switch: 7,050
PS4: 3,400
Xbox One: 600

Week 19:
Switch: 12,000
PS4: 6,000
Xbox One: 800

Week 20:
Switch: 5,800
PS4: 3,800
Xbox One: 300

Week 21:
Switch: 6,400
PS4: 3,100
Xbox One: 300

Week 22:
Switch: 4100
PS4: 3800
Xbox One: 400

Weel 23:
PS4: 6000
Switch: 4300
Xbox One: 750

Week 24:
PS4: 6900
Switch: 5400
Xbox One: 1050

Week 25:
Switch: 7700
PS4: 5000
Xbox One: 1100

Days of Play has ended (for the most part), and PS4 has dropped a bit as a result. Switch bump is interesting. This week doesn't yet include SMM2 or the free €35 eshop voucher bundle unless I'm mistaken. I wonder if next week will see a significant boost for Switch as a result.

Expected split for Crash. PS4 >>> Switch >> XB1 makes sense considering how strong Crash is on Playstation. Do we have a number for the N Sane Trilogy debut on Playstation? I'm not sure how large the debut of 27,750 is compared to other titles.

Days Gone FW: 26,600
Yoshi's FW: 8,000

So, it has been a good debut for CTR in both consoles. Only 30% less, approx., than those first party games.
However, NSane Trilogy really had a VERY good debut. We got FW number for Switch version (9,300). And LTD for PS4 version (242.000 by end 2018), not at FIFA level, but higher than CoD BO4 or God of War.

As expected, Switch should be very competitive this summer both Hardware and Sofrware wise.

Quite interesting. Zelda rising through the charts even after SMM2's launch suggests that hardware sales remain high. The increase in sales for BOTW should only partially correlate with sales from the ÂŁ30 eshop voucher bundle, since digital isn't included. So, it seems BOTW is a very popular second game after SMM2 (for which people have been buying hardware during the last week) or another game (if they happened to not be buying the system for SMM2).

SMM2, Mario Kart 8, Smash and Zelda should be the 4 Switch exclusives in the top10.

Biggest opening for the franchise is my guess.
Easily imo. It's the first day and date release in the UK - at least since the franchise has become big. That in itself should help push much more mindshare towards the franchise. Marketing is bigger for the franchise, so that should help as well. I expect at least 50% increase compared to Fates (combined), and I could see even more.

Especially since Fates released later in Europe.

But Fire Emblem Awakening had great legs, no? Do you think it will be the same for Three Houses? If so, how many sales can it do worldwide? 2.5M? 3M?
