Retailers expect a couple of big PS5 shipments in March, also for Xbox Series. That is why hardware numbers are so low this week.
Those are bad numbers for Bravely Default 2. It means that the stock was terrible. It was sold out in the most places the second week.
Amazing result !!Spain, week 8 (retail sales) Source: Vandal.net

I guess production on the Xbox side is really bad, consider that they are not even toping PS5 in USA or UK for that matter.
Wasn't that always the case even in the UK and USA besides the PS3 gen?
Yep, I have the same range in mind.It was about half the launch of Octopath whixh was 11,700. Digital rate is definitely better than 2018 so a haeder comparison but I honestly expect Bravely to top out at 1-1.25m. I don't see it selling 2m+ on Switch alone like Octopath.

BDII did Top 3 on the Spanish eShop, maybe we could add 1-2k but still far from Octopath.
Yep, 1 million and something should be the ceiling for the game.
i can't tell if that's great for BD2 or not in spain. what were the numbers for 1/second?
oh wow, thanks for all the info. yeah seems a tiny bit disappointing but at least it didnt open lower than the first games. it seems BD1 really ran on good legs so hopefully the Switch Effect (tm) will allow similarly good long term sales for 2Comparison with first Bravely Default is tricky because it was a new IP, expectations were lower and consequently not many units were available, the game was sold out during practically all Christmas. Bravely Default was released in the first week of December and sold in that month around 8.500 units, it eventually reached 24.000.
Bravely Second: End Layer sold 5.300 units in first week, which is practically the same Bravely Default II has sold. For what I have seen sales are In line with we have seen in UK or Japan. Despite a similar retail launch digital sales should push it ahead and also it should have a way longer run due to Switch strongest health compared to Nintendo 3DS. Overall though a disappointing performance if we com`pare it with Octopath Traveler but not a catastrophe by any means. 1 million worldwide is a lock, not let's see how much above that mark can go.
Thanks Bruno for the additional tidbits.Comparison with first Bravely Default is tricky because it was a new IP, initial expectations were lower (nobody expected it would sell that well) and consequently not many units were available, the game was sold out during practically all Christmas. Bravely Default was released in the first week of December and sold in that month around 8.500 units, it eventually reached 24.000.

Considering the fact that Bravely Default came out at the end of the month and for the simple fact that it charted in the top 5 tells me that it was a bona fide success because obviously they are not factoring in digital sells since Nintendo does not report digital sales.Spain, week 8 (retail sales) Source: Vandal.net

I think the first week is only being reported here. And like I said the game charted up in the top five with all the competition this is a success. Those are bad numbers for Bravely Default 2. It means that the stock was terrible. It was sold out in the most places the second week.
Animal Crossing's anniversary return to #1. Damn.
Animal Crossing retakes the crown and Hades makes a great entrance at #7.
Big PS5 re-stock? I must have missed that as I still can't find that sucker anywhere to purchase.
3 games for less is a lot more appealing
Yeah this game is done for, they really should go f2p.Finally, the launch of Marvel's Avengers on PlayStation 5 prompted at 83% lift in sales and put the game at No.30.
