Yeah, it's some ancient law regarding voter intimidation. IIRC, people would force others to vote for a particular candidate and they required you to take a picture of your ballot as proof that you followed through.
I thought that was only if it was filled out?Pretty sure you're not allowed to take a picture of your ballot.
Ah gotcha. I wasn't sure if it was legal or not in California, but it's not legal here in Ohio.
Nope, Leesburg, NoVA.Were the both of you inside of something such as a registrar office like I was in your county? My line was pretty short yesterday (from Southeastern Virginia in Hampton).
Pretty sure by October 25th there was only 5 million votes in 2016. We are blowing it out of the water. Mail in ballots are being returned much quicker in particular plus with drop boxes being so popular it's being gathered quicker and bypassing usps
Holy fuck. This is crazy.
Which is fucking stupid, because there is practically no chance the House flips GOP.The full clip of what Ted Cruz was saying was that he sees this election as having extreme uncertainty and that he could foresee both a big Trump win if people were feeling optimistic about their future or a big loss of Watergate proportions if people aren't. Cruz was mostly saying he hasn't seen an election like this with such a wide spread between outcomes.
That's really stupid considering it has been polled as one of the most consistent elections in modern history. The full clip of what Ted Cruz was saying was that he sees this election as having extreme uncertainty and that he could foresee both a big Trump win if people were feeling optimistic about their future or a big loss of Watergate proportions if people aren't. My California ballot was counted after a 3-day turnaround, after being dropped off at the county recorder's office. BallotTrax notified me last night at 11 pm via text, email and phone that everything was okay. I would recommend that service if it's available to you.
Yeah people here are voting in fucking droves.Wow, I'm actually... proud of Florida? That just doesn't sound right.
Oh, I know. I live in Broward County.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Friday warned Republicans the party could face a "bloodbath" in November if voters aren't feeling optimistic about the economy and the direction of the pandemic.
Speaking on CNBC's "Squawk Box," Cruz said the presidential election is extremely "volatile" and that President Trump could still get reelected by a "big margin" if voters feel like the U.S. is recovering from the pandemic-induced economic shutdown.
But he warned the party could also face landslide losses similar to what happened in the midterms following the Watergate scandal and Richard Nixon's resignation.
Looks like 24 mil total early votes 2016
They said total, as in all the way up to election day. We're still a month out right now.you must mean 2.4 million and not 24 because that is way more than now if the 8.8 million that has voted early is a record
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they start processing the mail-in/early ballots about a week before the election.Anyone know when they start counting ballots in Minnesota? My wife and I's ballots were received and accepted earlier this week, but no clue when they actually count them.

What people were asking I think was this time in 2016. 2020 has vastly outperformed 2016 as a snapshot in time. The last numbers I saw were like 2016 had cast like under 20k total votes versus well over a couple million in 2020. I just haven't seen an update since last week or so.
