Who insulted the fans? I said the game doesn't impress graphically. If you were insulted, then boy are we in big trouble as a society.Thank you for coming into a thread to shit on it, insult its fans, then try to claim the superior higher ground.
wut.
PS4. My point was that NNK was a great looking game on PS3 so Sun/Moon looking only a bit better technically (because it has better res/models/lighting etc) makes sense considering the hardware it's on.
He doesn't even know what he is saying, I don't know why you listen to him.wut.
You just said that it's the same graphics as the 3DS games.
C'mon, you have Dragon Quest XI running on a Switch. This is ridiculous.
Where? I said it looked like an indie project and I mentioned PS1 trees. Where did I say that it looked like a 3DS game?wut.

I didn't know there was already a comparison in resolution, popping, framerate ...C'mon, you have Dragon Quest XI running on a Switch. This is ridiculous.
Yet it runs Dragon Quest XI.That's the Switch we're talking about though. It doesn't have the beef power of the PS4.
I see you are a man of culture :)C'mon, you have Dragon Quest XI running on a Switch. This is ridiculous.
This is about a half-step up from a lazy dev quip.Still looks like it was made as an indie project by a bunch of interns
And it looks better than Pokémon. In every single way.I didn't know there was already a comparison in resolution, popping, framerate ...
Yes, and? How does that relate to the original post it was replying to?C'mon, you have Dragon Quest XI running on a Switch. This is ridiculous.

Sorry for not being impressed by the same graphics with semi upscaled assets. Oh, and PS1 trees.
Many apologies.
Yes, upscaled from 3DS. There was a thread on reddit where they provided ample evidence that its the same models.
I mean, real talk, the cut dex was never about the amount of work, it was a project decision first and foremost. While the amount of extra work probably did factor in, it probably was made long before that was a consideration.I mean the post earlier stating that Witcher 3 was made by ~250 people really puts this into perspective. I am sorry, but while I know more work is needed to bring these models into HD, I still have yet to see anything here that justifies the dex cut. To be honest, I would rather not even have features like camping if the new animation work is so involved that they simply can't update all pokemon.
Dragon Quest runs at lower res and has many of the same things people criticize Sword and Shield for, like pop in, low resolution shadows, etc.C'mon, you have Dragon Quest XI running on a Switch. This is ridiculous.
RPG fans are assholes a lot of time.another pokemon sword and shield thread, another bunch of weirdos being absolutely psychotic about the graphics

And? Mario Odyssey runs at 900p and it looks miles better than Pokémon SS. The reason the game doesn't look good (it doesn't) isn't hardware related.
And what does that have to do with the post you quoted? That post is showing the game isn't just "upscaled 3DS graphics".C'mon, you have Dragon Quest XI running on a Switch. This is ridiculous.
Edit: The Witcher 3 was developed by 250 people and they can't manage to make a proper game with 1000?
Who insulted the fans? I said the game doesn't impress graphically. If you were insulted, then boy are we in big trouble as a society.
And Xenoblade 2 has better graphics but is practically unplayable in handheld, which Pokémon can not afford. And? Mario Odyssey runs at 900p and it looks miles better than Pokémon SS. The reason the game doesn't look good (it doesn't) isn't hardware related.
What a nice person, apologizing to people and wishing them a nice day.
Mario Odyssey I'll give you but BOTW and especially Link's Awakening kinda run like poo so there's that, whereas by most accounts SS's performance is fineJust wish the games graphics could be better. It looks ok but not up to the level of Nintendo's other top games this gen such as Botw, Mario Odyssey or even Link's Awakening. Pokemon is supposed to be a top tier gaming franchise.

I was always under the impression the Pokémon company and Nintendo do that. It's why the Pokémon company exists.Keep in mind that not all of those 1000 people are developing the game, as is stated there is a lot of other things that go into making sure Pokemon games launch successfully such as marketing.

Actually, I think Ni no Kuni looked better than that. Its the best pokemon ever looked and it sure is the most ambitious its ever been, but for the better or worst, its looking very much like Ni No Kuni... a game released 8 years ago

Except the text specifically calls out the large marketing and localization depts. We know literally nothing more re: devs working on the actual game.It was estimated that the credits for Sun/Moon listed over 500 people. There was a lot of discussions about the staff allocated by TPC to work on those games so this should clear up a bit the facts.
