Simple question, out of the select publishers who's output do you enjoy/prefer/like the most? For me it's Capcom.

CAPCOM.jpg

In terms of variety they knock it out of park as out of any publishers or developers majority of their output I've liked the most. They've also produced some of my favorite games of all time like Lost Planet 2, Resident Evil 5, Marvel vs Capcom 3, and recently favorites like Monster Hunter World and Devil May Cry 5. I considered Lost Planet 2 as my favorite game of all time depending on the day if I want to switch it out with Armored Core For Answer.....but you get the point.

Also say what's you favorite game from that publisher.

Nintendo 1.

But ignoring Nintendo, it's a real toss up between Capcom and Square Enix for me. Probably lean Capcom with RE, MHW and DMCV recently

You should have made a "besides Nintendo" poll to get a meaningful response to this.

Square Enix. If I had to pick one game I'm going Nier Automata.

Nintendo is too strong lol.

Super Mario Brothers 3. The perfect game. NES version of course.

Capcom is a close second. Resident Evil 2 Remake was just amazing.

It's gotta be Nintendo for me. They've just produced so many of my favorite games. The Gamecube and GBA days are probably some of my fondest gaming memories. So many of my all-time favorite franchises are Nintendo franchises as well: Fire Emblem, Pokemon, Zelda. My favorite game from them is The Thousand-Year Door on account of also being my favorite game of all time.

My "non-Nintendo" answer would probably be Square Enix or Sega. Not sure which. I find all of the above pretty up and down over the years. I think I'd lean towards Sega because I honestly just respect the large amount of creativity they were operating on, especially in the later 90's and very early 00's.

You should remove Nintendo, they're a platform holder, it's unfair.

Comparing the rest, my favorite has to be Sega. Their recent output is.. not for me, but their history is full of amazing titles I'll never get tired of playing and replaying.

Nintendo. We all know the usual stuff they do, but they're the only ones that regularly publish puzzle games as well. Puzzle games are games worthy of praise and adoration! My favorite game from them is probably Pikmin 3 or Breath of the Wild though.

Definitely Nintendo, but out of the non Nintendo options - SEGA with Capcom a close bronze.

Squeenix has disappointed me time and time again since the PS3 era. Though their DQ games are still ace.

Yeah Nintendo makes this too easy. They're just too good. I have too many to choose from.
Link to the Past, Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime, The Wonderful 101 (yes this counts!)

Outside of Nintendo, I'd have to give it to Square-Enix.
Final Fantasy IX is glorious, as is Chrono Trigger. Also really loved Dragon Quest XI.

Nintendo blows everything else out of the water for me. They're the only major publisher where I'll be paying attention to every game releases.

Sega with Atlus is probably second. If Sega was still like, DreamCast/early Gamecube & Xbox-era Sega while owning Atlus, they'd probably be in tough contention for Nintendo.

Nintendo easily

As much as I love squareenix, capcom and Namco games - they don't hold a candle to Nintendo quality

Nintendo #1. I own (and love) more than double as many Nintendo games as #2. Breath of the Wild is their new crown jewel, for me. Best game ever. My favorite before that was probably Melee.

#2 being either Sega, or Capcom, they're neck-and-neck. My favorite from Capcom, another easy choice, Resident Evil 4. From Sega, Super Monkey Ball.

Why isn't Sony on the list? They don't get much bigger or more Japanese than Sony.

If Nintendo stopped making games I'd probably quit video games in general. It's not even close. My favorite game basically being a tie between Smash Ultimate and Pokemon Platinum, both of which vying for my all time favorite game in general. After like 5 tiers of separation, then it's Capcom (Mega Man 2 being my favorite game of theirs) and Square (Final Fantasy VII).

I agree this should have probably just been third parties.

Most of their studios are Western. They are basically Japanese in name only.

Midgar, With Love
Nintendo. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Square Enix is close. (Final Fantasy VII and Xenogears. More recently, Final Fantasy VII Remake.)

Capcom is one of the top three publishers in the industry in my opinion together with Sony and Bethesda Microsoft. So many classics and Resident Evil might be my favorite franchise of all time.

Nintendo easily, after them would be Capcom I suppose. It's kinda lame that I don't enjoy the modern RE games though.

No Sony? I mean, Nintendo either way but odd omission OP.

If not counting Nintendo, probably SEGA/ATLUS.

Probably a tie between Capcom and Konami.

Capcom got Megaman and I love every series. Great fighting games, great mid tier stuff, great action, great arcades.

Konami/Bemani got rhythm games down to a science, like every major one they've done and continue I like. Also have great shmups and arcade games.

Capcom easily

Don't care for Nintendo IPs. Only reason why I might get a Switch Lite in the future is to play Bayonetta 2,3 and Astral Chain

Public opinion of Bandai Namco would be almost as good as Capcom right now, if it weren't for the fact that they tend to toss a D-Tier/C-tier licensed anime game in the mix every season.

I love Nintendo but I'll exclude them.

It's between Capcom and Square Enix. I'd probably go Capcom for recent output. Square is starting to make a case again with FF7R and we'll see about XVI when it releases.

It's always been Capcom. Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Devil May Cry. Even their weird stuff like Dark Void I like.

Square Enix. I was pretty indifferent to them for quite a long while, only playing a few of their games. They've really climbed up the ranks in my opinion though, over the past few years. The Just Cause series was really good (2 especially), I've liked the Tomb Raider reboots, and also I really really liked Life is Strange. Then there's Bravely Default (which was fantastic) and also Nier Automata. Not just that, but I started playing Final Fantasy 14 and I think that's my favorite game ever - it's made me want ot start playing the other games in the series just to see what they're like. It's a nice and varied output, and a lot of it is up my alley.

I'd even put them above Nintendo, whose games I don't fin as consistently fun and whose franchises I'm not as attached to (Fire Emblem being the big exception there.

I said Capcom for Resident Evil.

But it was close with Nintendo for Zelda and Metroid, and Square for Final Fantasy.

Actually, maybe it is SEGA for the Total War games.

Nintendo

Xenoblade Chronicles 1

A little unfair to include Nintendo but it's them by far for me.

Sega, SE and Capcom. Nintendo does nothing for me, even though I can appreciate their work.

SEGA - I primarily play their games in general. After them, probably Capcom, and then maybe Square. The other ones, I kind of just buy games from here and there, but the last Nintendo game I enjoyed was Samus Returns, so they've really fallen off to me.

Like in their totality? Square, with Sega/Atlus taking second.

Nintendo made some formative games for me but I wouldn't say they've ever been one of my favorites.
