So recently after seeing Sirfetch'd, I started to think if this could mean for the exclusive pokemon we would get in Pokemon Shield.
Considering that Sirfetch'd is a Sword exclusive pokemon that is a pure fighting type, part of me feels like we could also see another ghost type pokemon exclusive to Pokemon Shield. The reason why I'm taking a shot in the dark on this is how Bea (the exclusive gym leader in Sword) is also a fighting-type specialist and how this could mean one of her pokemon could actually be Sirfetch'd. Meanwhile, in Shield, Alister specializes in Ghosts, and we can probably guess what two of the pokemon could be, but a third one could be a special "Region Specific" pokemon that would also happen to be a ghost.
The only problem I'm running into is that I can't really recall that many pokemon that happen to have "Tragic Backstories" while the only one that does come to mind happens to already have a Ghost-Type variant, Alolan Marowak. Still, I don't know if anyone who knows the pokemon world well to know if there could be any additional possibilities on pokemon that could also have a ghost variant, or if it could be an existing Ghost Pokemon that happens to have a different secondary type, like a Gangar that happens to not be a poison type.
Not sure if anyone has any ideas, but I would like to know if anyone might have any good ideas (or if there's a location or a thread already talking about this specifically thus far). Thank you.
