understandably, the film will be called "The Great Machine", since some asshole made a movie called "Ex Machina" years ago.
Haha

He's the only English-language comic book author I care about... Y the Last Man is an absolute masterwork. It's a Brian K Vaughn comic, it's... OK. I have no idea how he got to be such a revered author.
Damn this was good.I hear he's also being considered for Marvel Studios' upcoming Annihilation adaptation.
Hey, Ex machina is brilliant and Alex Garland is great.understandably, the film will be called "The Great Machine", since some asshole made a movie called "Ex Machina" years ago.
It's no Saga thoughy'all need to read more comics
Brian K Vaughn's Ex Machina is fookin brilliant
Technically speaking he's ex-Ex Machina and on to the next Ex Machina.
:lol
The same way any alternate reality/superhero story plays? No one batted an eye when the Xmen were involved in the Cuban Missile Crisis in First Class, or when it was implied Magneto curved the bullet that killed Kennedy in DOFPI really don't know how you do this in a way that doesn't feel really really saccharine and awful.
In the first issue it is revealed he BIG SPOILERat the time it was kind of cathartic and interesting.Stopped the second plane from hitting the second tower on 9/11
I am not sure how it plays now
Great choice, now I just hope they can tell the whole story of Ex Machina in a single movie

I would say those are distant enough to resonate less or to cause less of a stir
9/11 was almost 20 years ago. There are adults now that were born after it. Not to mention even shows that had similar imagery (Cowboy Bebop for instance had an episode that was pulled from air for having terrorists attack a skyscraper) have long since been airing againI would say those are distant enough to resonate less or to cause less of a stir
OP clearly says Brian K. Vaughan's Ex Machina (which pre-dated Alex Garland's by a decade). They couldn't have done anything differently.
Maybe if this does well, we can get a Saga treatment
Dayum. But agreed.
I feel like HBO could do a killer job with Saga. I will admit that I've found that it's been a bit underwhelming as of late.. it felt to me like it was dragging along a bit although obviously there was a huge plot development at the end of the recent book. Anxious for the hiatus to end though to see what happens next.
It's going to be a non-issue, the most you'll see is a couple open-ended worthless articles from vox and a couple others sites and that'll be thatI would say those are distant enough to resonate less or to cause less of a stir

I don't know how it could have been clearer. OP specifically said "Brian K Vaughn" which should have implied it wasn't the Alex Garland movie.
He's not a famous name, it's not hard for people to be unsure of who these producers and comic book people are.I don't know how it could have been clearer. OP specifically said "Brian K Vaughn" which should have implied it wasn't the Alex Garland movie.
I'd argue Alex Garland isn't any more famous. None of his movies have really done well. It doesn't really matterHe's not a famous name, it's not hard for people to be unsure of who these producers and comic book people are.
I didn't imply I knew Alex Garland either, I just know Oscar Isaac is in Star Wars and was in a movie already called Ex MachinaI'd argue Alex Garland isn't any more famous. None of his movies have really done well. It doesn't really matter
