Sorry for being dense - can I set it to any time zone that's GMT +12 hours, or is there a specific one I should pick? I couldn't see New Zealand in the list.
You don't need to worry about the time zone, just the region.
Yep got it! But the store now says the game won't unlock until 13:00, which is like 14 hours from now (as in my usual UK launch time).
edit: OK changing region seems to work :)
Shouldnt be. Check this link at see what it says at unlock time. I see that you are from the Uk and should unlock at 11am.
Why does that matter to them? People are eager to play their game earlier should be a good thing lol.

I dunno! I figured if it mattered enough to have some time zones have to wait longer than others there was probably a reason for it to begin with. Idk about these things :P

The jump in combat, even at the start of WotW, is such an improvement over the original game. Compare this to what you remember of The Blind Forest, especially the early hours, pre-bash.
It's going to be fascinating to see how combat evolves.
