Yeah, me too. What's this one? Day 1.5 patch?
By any chance, are you a participant on the Xbox Insider program? I've been having problems with the new update, Yakuza 0 and some other random games freeze on the launch screen, and even though Ori is running flawlessly, maybe it has some relation, I dunno.
I hope so. Take this example, the glow in the eyes is completely missing and some other areas seem to have a bit different lighting.
Man, it really is just marketing horseshit when an official talks about their game.
Every, single, time. I'm so disappointed in this release. I really started to regret that I also bought the CE which arrived today.
Curious about this as well!
Yes. And switch to locale where it is unlocked already.
Latest is now. 1.0.4193.0Im downloading now but it's I my 5.xx gb ? What's the last te patch number ?
Jesus Christ the 3 minute mark.
I knew exactly how bad it runs, I can feel these drops immediately and like I thought, it can be really bad.
What a shame.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't thomasmahler literally in this forum (or in other interviews) bragged about how crazy well optimized their engine is and how they really made sure that it will run absolutely perfect when they release it and that they postponed the release to make it that stable and perfect?
And now it's released with patch and basically runs like absolute shit, getting under 50 and 40fps so often.

On my one x i dont think ive had any FPS drops approach 50fps and im about 3 hours into the game. Ive had absolutely zero noticible performance issues.
Yep, getting it in cutscense, dialogue, when music transitions from area to area etc...
I'm getting it with a behringer dac. Those with audio buzzing on PC, is there any specific sound hardware it happens on? Do you all run Realtek motherboard audio or does it happen on more quality sound hardware?
it doesn't run like absolute shit. It's not perfect, but you have to be full of it to say the game runs like absolute shit, tbh.
Patch was just released. Second one even. So wait and see on that. Two quick questions:
- I'll be playing on One S, should I wait for a patch to solve those issues?
- In terms of story and narrative, is this a direct sequel to the first one?
As someone who's been in that area on a one x, i can confirm that it absolutely never dips that low. There may be stutters but it is significantly less impactful then what you suggest.I don't know, while the tutorial area ran pretty great, every area after that so far got worse and worse with the "swamp" area constantly running around 50 with drops to under 40 if you have a fight there. It's as bad as in the video for me.
Maybe it gets better again later but so far the majority I've played ran "like shit".
That's what I personally would call something from that I expected to be 100% stable, like we know it from the first game, like we heard it in everything the officials said, just from past experience and trust alone would I never in my dream thought that it could run as bad as it does, I would have bet money on it that these guys make it right. And with that in mind constant ~50 with drops to 35 is "like shit".
I firmly do not believe you when you say it's dropping to 35 fps. As someone who's been in that area on a one x, i can confirm that it absolutely never dips that low.
you need to do the first repair of that dude in the glades in order to get fast travel. Is there not fast travel? I can't remember if the last one had it.
Thats what happened to me this morning on my first try too.Aaaaand the game is hard-crashing my Xbox One X during that first "Ori-running-loading-screen". The console turns itself completely off.
Nice.
Youre right. Some aspects do look more detailed. I was taken aback by some lighting changes. Notice how the glow in the eyes interact with the feather. Its completely gone in the patched version. But then some scenes appear to lack sun rays in the retail version that are present in the new patch. Its a bit inconsistent here or there.a lot of areas in this video have far more details in the launch patch. Like this part where the trunk of the tree has far better and more defined textures.
Even in this screenshot, just look at the "bed" that he was sleeping in. Way better, too.
I could be wrong, but i believe the characters are 3d models, so the glow in the eyes being dynamic lighting could have been something they turned off to better optimize performance.Youre right. Is this possible on Steam as well?Folk are changing the region of their console/pc to one where the game is out (New Zealand).
