The option in the ticket does not delete your messages, and since today the forum has to obey gdpr, i wanted to delete my account with my messages.

Sounds like you can submit a feature request to Xenforo Forum software (which ResetEra uses) to incorporate this change.
I'm not convinced the op is convinced what he's talking about.

GDPR was purposefully written pretty broad, so I don't think the OP has a case here.
GDPR does include the "right to be forgotten". It should be included and Era will need to implement it to be in compliance.

Pretty sure GDPR does not require that you can request to delete all data that you've submitted to a service. Right to erasure under GDPR is scoped to "personal data," and "personal data" is (broadly) what can personally identify you. Even then, the request is not absolute.
yeah having the account nuke actually do something would be helpful. as it is, it just changes your name and bans you.
