Yea I know what to expect from Ubisoft at this point, most of their games do nothing for me, so I didn't even bother watching

Honestly forgot it was even today

I only watched Ubisoft for M+R. I had the stream on in the background though, so I wasn't watching the whole thing.

I couldn't get into the first one as I'm generally not a fan at all of SRPGs. (Still have no idea how Fire Emblem Three Houses swayed me) Thought it being a Mario take on it would change my mind, but it didn't, lasted like 40 min. lol
I'm generally not an SRPG guy myself but I've always loved Fire Emblem. Next to Smash it's probably my favorite Nintendo franchise

same. I enjoy a few srpg series but none like FE.
People act like they're forced to watch every E3 conference instead of just choosing to watch what they're interested in
I took a look at the thread and I don't get the people in there complaining about how they don't like ubisoft games. That's alright, I don't either, but I also don't waste my time watching a stream I know I won't like and complain.

The last SRPG game I enjoyed was Yu Yu Hakusho: Tournament Tactics

I don't remember how I even got it or anything, just that I enjoyed the game lol

It was the school setting and stronger gameplay.

Plus the Three Lords

If I ever play another SRPG (I guess I am now officially interested in future Fire Emblem games), it definitely needs a good story and cast at the very least

I wonder if Oda will ever bring up Brook being a former guard captain for "a certain kingdom." I was so sure it was going to be Germa.

My theory is that Brook's original kingdom was the Sorbet Kingdom. I'm thinking Kuma, Brook, Aokiji are all from this kingdom (similar hair).
it's interesting, so interesting that I had to check something in the wiki, the sorbet kingdom is in the south blue, and according to the wiki Brook was born in the west blue. still possible but unlikely

Folks were mentioning a few pages back about how Law is getting a lot of panel time and I think it's because of who he is, or rather what he has. The Ope Ope no Mi was foreshadowed to have immense importance. According to Doflamingo, there is something in Mary Geoise that interacts with the Ope Ope no Mi and it's so important to the World Nobles that they basically reinstated Doflamingo as one of them to keep him from telling anyone about it. That alone gives Law far greater significance to the plot than any other Supernova bar Luffy and Blackbeard themselves but, like them, he also carries the Will of D.

So while he'll never become a Straw Hat, he's totally going to stick around for the rest of the manga. I wouldn't be surprised if he and Doflamingo had a final showdown in Mary Geoise at the end of the manga, when Oda finally reveals what that thing is that the World Nobles are so desperate to keep a secret.

Episode's out

That cut was indeed fantastic but man you can tell it was in to spruce up an otherwise really slow episode. They used the Kyoshiro/Denjiro betrayal as a cliffhanger, but didn't actually reveal who he was, which doesn't really make sense because they've already revealed it in the flashback. If this is the way they were going to do it, then they should've saved the reveal for after Kyoshiro betrayed them.

Yeah, 9 pages of material.
The animation for Luffy, Law and Kid team-up was glorious, but it was mostly to spruce up how slow this was.
Next week looks like the rest of 975, and parts of 976 (it's apparent from the part with the Scabbards hitting Kinemon)

I honestly had no problem with the pacing. Fillers, extra dialogue, it all worked for me. I loved it.

Dat animation was amazing!

I like the CG use for Kid's arms it's pretty good so far real test will be when we reach rooftop of how good it will look. At least I'm pretty sure parts of that was CG might be wrong though.

I swear if Capcom doesn't announce a Battle Network collection, I'll... do nothing but whine about it :(

LTTP: Just watched the first episode. That was fun. The over-the-top facial expressions will... take some... getting used to, but everything else was lovely.

I reread some small bit of dressrosa and I noticed that it's implied that Sabo visited Ace's grave because after Luffy meets Sabo in the colosseum there is a panel of the grave with 3 sake cups and flowers being left behind.
My unfounded belief in post Wano being a trip to Ace's grave is intensifying even more.

Man I'm really curious about Usopp this arc, Big Mom absolutely MOLLYWHOPPED Page One and I'm wondering if a fight against him is really in the cards for Usopp and if not what is he gonna actually do? I know Ulti also ate a few big hits so far between Big Mom and Yamato but she seems like she has far more character and story importance than Page One does so I guess I expect a bit more out of her.

Usopp could end up fighting numbers instead I suppose or assisting someone else.

Maybe Chopper could pick up the fight against an injured Page One and Usopp could assist as a callback to Alabasta???

I just want Usopp to shine some this arc pls Oda, even if you give him another Dressrosa style sniping feat instead of a fight I'll be happy just give him something and let his CoO bloom and shine

Sadly, I doubt Usopp will ever be as MVP again as he was in Dressrosa.

Sorbet is impossible as pointed out by Brook himself:

Travel between South & West is as rare as travel between North & East

Brook's past will mostly likely come up during his inevitable fight against Lafitte, who was also a sheriff from "some place" in the west blue.

Even more interesting, Brook's West Blue compatriots are a super weird group of people: Robin, Lafitte, Moria, Bege, Sai and Shanks (with Shanks being by far the weirdest as there is no easy explanation on how a kid from West Blue managed to get on the ship of someone from the East Blue - Brook had to travel half the world, die, and then stay in isolation for 50 years before he accomplished the same thing that Shanks did as a child)

Isn't it a popular theory now that he was taken in by Roger's crew, or even born on the ship? With him and Buggy being very young apprentices and Roger/Rayleigh stating that it had been a while since they held a baby while holding Momo. Would easily explain the how.

Yeah. The theory is that Shanks was a baby celestial dragon that the Roger Pirates adopted. Which Oda did nothing to squash by pointing out the Roger baby stuff in the latest SBS

But yeah, that's the main but also only real theory that explains the weirdness of Shanks's origins as a Celestial Dragon could 100% travel between the blues.

The big tinfoil theory is Shanks being Xebec's son and Roger adopting him after defeating Xebec.

Edit: damn was too slow.
