What I don't get about early Viz translations is when they change the name of something clearly in English.
Like how they call Nami's Clima-Tact a "Climate Baton". Like what's the logic?

Does Tact mean something specific in this case? I may just have not understood the name.
I personally think Viz does a pretty good job on like 90% of the decisions, especially their proper nouns and titles all feel very piratey and fairy tale-like in a way scans rarely capture. However the one bizarre one that stands out to me every time is "Ponegliff" instead of "Poneglyph." That just makes the concept more confusing as -glyph is a common suffix for carved symbols in English while -gliff is a nothing nonsense spelling.
Anyone supporting peanut butter and honey over peanut butter and jelly is out of their mind. Honey as a sandwich topping is solely a plan B for when you're out of jelly and for nothing else.
