Knew there would be a post about this lol
That's reassuring from a health standpoint. It doesn't really matter with spices. They'll lose flavoring over time so you need to use more of it, but that's about it. (As long as you store them properly). That said, I'd never keep a spice as long as the OP lol
I hope it was whole peppercorns and not pre-ground pepper.Black pepper that's about 6-7 years old. That stuff won't just go bad.
Get ground beef.Cumin. I needed it for something and then never used it again.
.....but I already have packages of taco mix.Get ground beef.
Add cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Congrats, you have taco meat.
Well when that runs out, do the cumin & paprika thing. Actually, cumin & paprika is also amazing on sweet potatoes.
Thank you for your wisdom. The cumin shall not go to waste.Well when that runs out, do the cumin & paprika thing. Actually, cumin & paprika is also amazing on sweet potatoes.
I do what I can. It's a spice I run out of constantly, so I felt the need to interject hahaThank you for your wisdom. The cumin shall not go to waste.
*respectfully bows*
Uh, yes?
I have a large jar of super ultra hot cayenne where you only need a dash for an entire pot of soup. It's lasted since I was a kid ~20 years ago and it's still as spicy as everMaybe it's just me, but I feel like Cayenne pepper tends to lose its spiciness pretty quickly.
yeah this stuff is just like, one bag literally lasts an entire lifetimeI have a large jar of super ultra hot cayenne where you only need a dash for an entire pot of soup. It's lasted since I was a kid ~20 years ago and it's still as spicy as ever
It's not a ridiculous question. The overwhelming majority of people I know just buy ground black pepper even though it's trash. Good on you.
