To the team at EA Austin, thanks for doing what you could. I wish I could have seen what Next would have been.
To basically no one's surprise, I'm sure. EA was lying through its teeth claiming there would be some kind of big revamp. They didn't know what they were pushing the first place, and they never found it. Just another poorly done Bioware project.
It's probably just far too much resources for EA to practically remake and relaunch a game that can just be spent towards the new Dragon Age and Mass Effect games.

People have been posting this for over 10 years now. I swear, some of you actually want this to happen.
That didn't take long, but at least they're being transparent about it.
Anthem Update
Friends, In the spirit of transparency and closure we wanted to share that we’ve made the difficult decision to stop our new development work on Anthem (aka Anthem NEXT). We will, however, continue…blog.bioware.com
It's official.
Honestly a bummer, I don't care for Anthem but I am sure the devs worked hard on this presentation and were still told that their 2 year work to fixing it amounted to nothing. Hopefully no one loses their job and they are all just moving to working on Dragon Age or Mass Effect.
That's for the best. It's not fair for the developers to continue to pour work into a project with no sense of direction or objective. Hopefully they move those folks to work on more meaningful products.
