NYC Poison Control sees uptick in Lysol, bleach exposures after Trump's comment on disinfectants

Only Trump supporters would be dumb enough to drink fucking bleach because someone tells them to.
Poison Control handles calls and information for the entire state, at least in NY. NY outside of NYC is VERY red, anything outside some areas of the capital region and NYC might as well be the south. Confederate flags and Maga signs/hats are very normal here.
Poison control calls have been up across the board since the pandemic started.
I'd be more interested in a comparison to the calls they got in the weeks preceding Trump's comment than a year ago. I mean, obviously there's going to be less calls in a non-pandemic month.

yep. thats the problem with this country. These people also vote.
Realy doesnt matter who it is.
However, there are nearly three million Trump voters in the state, hundreds of thousands in the city, it's not that difficult to imagine the case load of people doing this because of the president probably involves a majority from that side given who trusts him and who tends to be more skeptical as a general rule.
See if the MEDIA didn't play his comments nonstop no one would have noticed and this wouldn't have happened!!!!

on another note: strange that trump has not won in new york as he is a new yorker. normally you would get a bonus.

Comparing it to last year isn't really helpful when poisoning cases like this have been up everywhere cause of the virus, need to compare it to the days/weeks before Dr.Trumps suggestion.
Sure but I suggest you look up the NY times voting map that shows who voted for who across the country down to city blocks. We have a bunch of Trump voters in two boroughs and enclaves in the other three.
