As for Etika I really hope he's found safe. Finding all of his stuff is wild but there's still hope. Wow.
So lemme get this straight... if this is real and he did indeed commit suicide, you're still more concerned about the idea that it might be a stunt for attention?
Thing is he is not getting any help.
He also lives in NYC where we have a lot of free and low cost mental health services.
It seems the only real option for him is those expensive treatment centers. The ones where rich celebrities get checked in. But I doubt he has that cheddar. So you're right there.
The more I watched the more I saw him go down a questionable path but I never knew how much was 'just for luls' like a he said a lot of his behavior was and actually dangerous. Like drinking constantly on stream every single time at one point, I didn't know if I was being a prude or he just took things too far.

I'm really hoping this is a stunt and he just let those items there on purpose. Mental health is not something to dismiss, even if he is a Youtuber and has done dumb stuff in the past, that does not mean that we should ignore him.

Thing is, even in my country where its free for people who need it, some of the services treated me like shit and one of the therapists seemed like he just hated his job. There's a big disconnect when someone is helping you because they're expected to rather than because they genuinely want to.

I was(am) still subscribed to his first channel, the Tr1iceman one, so I woke up to that "I'm sorry" video a couple of days ago and I thought "Oh, I hope this means he's finally accepting help". That video was not what I was expecting because it really seemed like a goodbye for his own sake, and with good reason, but I'm hoping it's not that kind of goodbye but rather leaving his "Etika" side behind.
He wouldnt just leave those behind..... It's getting too close...

In this instance right here? Not much more other than what you said. In future cases, the glass ceiling of admitting mental health is one of the most predominant killers in younger people, especially men, still hasn't really entered the social conscience, regardless of how much compelling evidence there is in this day and age. Outreach for people suffering with mental and emotional issues is indeed better than it ever has been, but the often perceived (and still often accurately perceived) 'stigma' of having these issues, and not self identying or admitting to them early enough leaves a lot of people in the similar situations as Etika here. Malcontent towards even flippant expressions of mental instability or the idea of committing suicide, not unlike what we've seen online surrounding this story, are signs that we really aren't close to treating mental health issues as well as we could be.
He became a victim of social media, I feel bad for the guy. I noticed he slowly but surely began to get more and more insane and depressed. Hope he's ok. Was the SWAT video real? Either way the dude needs help.

A lot of us saw Etika getting worse and worse as time passed and while a lot of us noticed it and commented on it a good amount were saying crap like "this is a joke, fuck him" and other shit like that. Might just be me but when I see someone having mental issues I don't pile on them. It was sad to see.
