How did you get it cheaper? I'm seeing average prices between $700-1000 for used 2080 Ti's.I opted for used 2080TI as I got it cheaper than 3070 and it has 11GB mem.

Probably back at the end of August/beginning of September when folks were seemingly selling off their 2080Ti's for like $500 or less. How did you get it cheaper? I'm seeing average prices between $700-1000 for used 2080 Ti's.
Why the hell did I get a 2070S last year
worst year to build my first PC
The 3080/3090 has put all previous launches to shame. There is no effective strategy besides dumb luck and/or renting a bot net. What is the best plan to try to get one of these at release?
Were there any effective strategies for the previous card launches other than renting a bot net?
Yep.Expect it to be a bigger shitshow than the 3080 when it comes to stock
Panic sellers. I got mine for like $450. That panic is over now thoughHow did you get it cheaper? I'm seeing average prices between $700-1000 for used 2080 Ti's.
As expected. The 1070 and 2070 matched the older ti or even the titan, while beeing more expensive then the last xx70 model, so this is nothing new. Until the stock situation has improved, the prices are going to be even worse, so hopefully AMD can compete, but I am still not sure about that.
AMD will be able to compete but likely at the same prices as that of 3070-3080-3090 and - possibly - similarly limited availability. As expected. If you don't plan to then no.

No. I don't have time for that. I doubt I will be able to get to the store until a couple hours after opening
