Oh ok. Thanks again.17th for the 3080 and 24th for the 3070.Sorry, looks like he was referring to the 24th only. Here's the OP he was replying to:
Is it going for order too?
From Digital Foundry's tests, and previous 1080ti vs 2080 results, it looks like ~75% - 80% bump, at 4k. I'm in the same boat. Seems like a pretty great upgrade.Going from a 1080ti to a 3080 would be a pretty significant upgrade, right? If so, I need to know where to start F5ing and turning mobile notifications on for the 17th.

I thought orders won't be live until 17th.
I'm running 1080p at 120fps -- I'm thinking DLSS will make for a pretty outstanding detail improvement without upping the actual pixel count. From Digital Foundry's tests, and previous 1080ti vs 2080 results, it looks like ~75% - 80% bump, at 4k. Asus strix looking sick.
urgh. wonder if a 650w is enough even though the recommendation is 750w for the 3080. I really dont wanna do all the cable management again and im not really all into overclocking. hmmm
Damn this is awesome. I'm guessing RTX voice gets even better with this release? We have updated the RTX Voice app with official GeForce GTX support.

Nah, late 2080 ti owners got screwed. The smarter ones made out like a bandit 2 weeks ago.Just waiting to see what the flooded used market price is for 2080ti's - can't be more than $400 unless these sell out completely. 2080ti owners got screwed on their resale.
Yeah a lot of us have been saying to wait for a while now if people could, if they didn't... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯No, because considering the large pricing gap the 3080 Ti is also likely to cost substantially higher than the 3080. Since it's closer to a 3090.
The 3080 is a huge upgrade for almost everyone.
Yeah, I've been warning people on here for several months to sell their Turing cards. Been telling people since March not to buy RTX 2000 cards too, if it's not necessary. Several people wanted to argue with me stating that the Turing cards were going to lose at least 40% of their value as soon as RTX 3000 was announced; it turns out it's going to be even more than that. I certainly don't feel bad for anyone who decided against selling theirs until today.
Depends on frame rate and I'm sure there will be other settings to raise to hit a frame rate that the 2080 or 2080 Ti couldn't reach.Wouldn't this be overkill for non-RT games if you target 1440p? Honest question, seems like this card is useful if you want to game at 4k.
So no details on pricing yet? They'll probably price the 3070 at $1000 and the 3080 at $1500. Which compared to the 2000 series would make it seem reasonable.... 😅

Yep, same.£800 for a Strix... Man... I... That was the price I was expecting, but knowing the Ventus is 679 is so tempting. SO tempting.
So is the MSI Gaming X Trio worth the £100 uplift over the cheaper cards? Will there be a significant performance uplift?
Does the 3070 support RTX IO? I'm not seeing a clear answer anywhere I look.
I'm prob going to build a new system and update from my 1080 to 3070. Maybe 3080 if it makes sense, but I wanted to not go crazy this time.
So I'm good with the 750w I just got? Amassing my build pieces slowly.
Yeah, I'm going MSIVentusSEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY GBP for the 3080 Gaming X Trio? fuck off MSI.
