Was gonna be in for 3070, but considering saving up money, and doing a new build in 2021 with a 3080 and a PCI-E 4.0 motherboard + whatever Ryzen.

Can't justify the 3090 so 3080 it is. Shit's gunna instantly sell out though.

Been out of Pc gaming for years but for whatever reason I'm hyped on this announcement. Looks like a huge jump and I've always loved the 70 series, so the 3070 looks great for a good price.

Only $499 and the 3070 is faster than the 2080ti??! That's really good! I'm going to stick with my 2080ti for now but that's a great deal. Definitely a good time for folks to upgrade

Yeah, not gonna lie. That 3080 price is VERY UN-nVidia-like, i.e. impressive.

The 3080Ti is surely coming now, after the inevitable Big Navi reveal. Nvidia aren't gonna sit idle with that $800 price gap between the 3080 and the 3090.

Jensen's preamble explicitly likened it to the Titan, so, yeah, I think it is the new Titan.
Yeah, Nvidia was very clear it was the Titan replacement and that the 3080 was the actual gaming flagship.
Good to know, 3080 it is.....though I may wait for the 3080 TI in case it supports DP2.0.

Tempted by the 3090...but not sure it would fit in my case LOL.

Either way, if I go 3080, or 3090, think I'm gonna have to get a bigger PSU.

$499? Holy shit what a steal.

I've never had a gaming PC before, probably going to get a 3080? 3090 is overkill right, with very few games in the next gen taking advantage of 8k or whatever and my display probably not even being able to handle it? Or is it worth getting?

3080 is overkill. Get a 3070 and be set for the next console cycle.

I want to jump in for a 3080, but there's a huge gap between the 3080 and 3090 that will absolutely be filled with some kind of refresh.

Ok here we go. 3080 is MUCH more reasonably priced. Glad I just went with a 1650 Super when my 970 died.

Anyone know of new Gen4 NVME drives coming out later this year that might go well with these new video cards?

A huge focus on raytracing performance here suggest that these are fantastic for anything that uses it, but I want to see benchmarks for games that do not. While I expect many titles to support RT and DLSS going forward in the next few years, there will still be plenty of console ports that won't.

These will be an easy choice for anyone with a 10xx or older card. For us folks on 2080 to 2080 Ti, I want to see how they fare in something like Red Dead Redemption 2.

If the 3070 is actually capable of 2080 Ti performance in games without raytracing that is going to be very impressive for the price.

Personally I am waiting until Cyberpunk 2077 is released before buying one. Hopefully there is a bundle. As a 2080 Ti owner, pricing and non-RT performance determines if I buy a 3070 or 3080. The 2080 Ti is going to my gf's machine and all I really want is HDMI 2.1 to run my LG OLED at 4K 120 Hz.

That's crazy, I had a buyer for my 2080ti for 600, but my guess is that he'll rather get the 3080 now :).

It's a shame that 3090 likely won't fit in my case, I think I'll skip this gen, or maybe get the 3080.

Thinking I might go RTX 3070 and wait for the inevitable 3080 Ti.

These all support full HDMI 2.1 spec, right?

3080 it is. I was gonna go with the 3090 but the 3080 being 2x the 2080 for $700 is nothing short of remarkable. That's $800 cheaper. Just can't pass it up.

Let's talk about how screwed AIBs are.. The cooling solution of the reference card looks more than sufficient.

Pleasantly surprised with those prices, hope the supply is there to prevent price gouging by retailers.

RTX 3070 + next gen Ryzen is probably going to be my setup later this year/early next year.

Seriously thinking of switching back to pc now for the next generation.

Nvidia just blew MS and Sony out of the water in terms of actual quality and information.

feel like getting a 3070 / 3080 from my 1080. But my Ryzen 1700 will probably be the bottleneck so I'll probably need to upgrade my CPU + Motherboard too lol
