What game/games/resolution are you using for that comparison, because it sounds incorrect? A 1080 Ti will do that in many cases.

First off I'd be doing a bit more research than that particular site.. also, if those are correct it's really likely that those scenarios at 1080p are CPU limited.
Ya, GTA and Witcher are probably the only things not extremely CPU bound. GPUs from 6 years ago can hit the fps limit in LoL or csgo, but a 1070+ doesn't?
E: LoL max 1440p @160 fps uses 15% of a 1080ti

- The original Titan, Titan Black, and Titan Z? Compute monsters for prosumers. Well, the Titan Z was, but I seem to recall there being a driver update that killed compute performance on the card.
- Titan V: prosumer card.
- RTX Titan: eh, kind-of a prosumer card based on the amount of VRAM I guess.
That looks like a terrible comparison based on the resolution and selection of games. It's easily CPU-limited in many of them.

I'm using 1440p since that should be GPU-bound in most tests, while not hitting bottlenecks on the 1070 at 4K - so it should be most representative of how the cards actually compare.
1080 Ti is approximately 50% faster than a 1070, while a 2080 Ti is approximately twice as fast as a 1070.
I'll be waiting for 30-series cards though. Those should be a much larger improvement since they're finally moving to a new process node, and should hopefully have second-generation RTX hardware.
The leak of Asus, Gigabyte and Palit SKUs from a couple days ago suggests that Gigabyte will be providing a number of 2060S and 2070S models in a mini format. Specifically four 2060S models and 6 2070S models were listed.
If you're looking to spend that 2080Ti/Super cash anyway it would be foolish to do so now. I suspect we'll have the new Nvidia cards by this time next year with better RT functionality/performance as devs get their head around it ready for the new consoles.
There is also CP2077 coming.
Great to hear. It seems like the 20__ and 10__ cards didn't have many options for smaller builds.
It is the next architecture from Nvidia that we expect to use it on the next gen series (RTX 3xxx).
We know that Nvidia has already signed a deal with Samsung to use their 7nm EUV lithography and we are expecting these cards to launch next year.

Given the weak sales performance of this gen, I think they have found the upper limit and wouldn't dare push prices any higher. Whether they keep prices the same or lower them though... I'm not sure. I just know which option I'd like to see =P
We've got the pricing, it's going to be $399/$499/$699.
2060S will be +$50 over the flat 2060 (covering the extra 2GB VRAM), and the 2070S/2080S are -$100 under their non-S initial release prices. It is also looking like the non-S 2070 and 2080 are going to be EOL'd.

I might as well get a mini 2080S if the price is right.
Thinking of getting one of the Supers. Probably the 2080s. Will be jumping from a 1060 so I'm expecting quite a bump in performance!

Only Nvidia favoured if you use the Nvidia exclusive features, sounds like a little bit of damage control tbh, especially since i never hear the words "AMD favoured" when AMD show off select Vulkan benchmarks from AMD sponsored games.
5700 XT is a dud as much as i wanted it to be better to force Nvidia price cuts.
its actually much higher score than the Radeon 7, so its still the best performing GPU from AMD for FFXV, its just as APISAK says, FFXV windows edition heavily favors NVidia.
Neither vendor will likely ship any HDMI 2.1 cards this calendar year. Although the high end LG OLEDs this year have HDMI 2.1 inputs, no commercially released product can take advantage of that, even outside of videocards.
Isn't the Super a 2080Ti unlocked? Shouldn't be far off that 15-20% with OC boards.

Yeah, well, 2070S is the only new card which actually gets a different chip compared to the card it supersedes so it was to be expected.
Its just a fully enabled 2080. So 4% more shaders and memory is clocked 7% faster

If the RTX 2070 Super is $500 on July 9th, with Control and Wolfenstein bundled - I'm in.
Is there finally code redemption for EGS? Otherwise bundling EGS exclusive can get tricky.
Yeah, and since EGS doesn't interface with GFE, it'll be very easy for people to resell their unwanted Control key. Makes for a nice loophole if you're interested in the game but don't want to actively support Epic.

We're just getting new SUPER versions of the 2060, 2070 and 2080. So the 2080Ti from last year will still be the "best" graphics card going forward. (Not including the Titans...etc from nvidia) Or am I just misunderstanding?

2080ti will still be the top card yes. If there is a super variant, none of the more reputable sites have heard of it.
Good to know! I'm doing a PC upgrade in a month or so. I currently have a i7 5960x and a GTX 1080 (founders) so plan on upgrading to a i9 9900k and a RTX 2080Ti so these SUPER cards won't be something I look at unless they do announce a SUPER for the 2080Ti.
