From a NYMag story about a recent Siena/NYT poll - they also think 'most women who run for President just aren't that likable' and media 'looks down on people like them.'

Those voting Democrats figures are not exactly great either. A quarter thinks white discrimination is as big of a problem as black discrimination?

Also what does "very liberal" even mean? lol

This describes my brother in law to a tee. I was over the other day and saw on his bookcase the Bernie book right next to the Dinesh D'Souza book about Hilary. Almost lost it.

"Non-voting" makes these dumbasses irrelevant. Your political opinion literally does not matter if you refuse to vote.

Women have it hard. No matter what you do, men would rather have another man be president.

There are tons of "anti-identity-politics" leftists online.
Yup. Saw a lot of that shit in 2016. Even from Bernie. Hell, immediately after the election media outlets were putting out takes about how the Democratic party may have focused too much on the needs of minorities and not enough on WWC voters.

No way. Class conscious people on the left (with very very few exceptions) are way plugged into racial justice issues. Sometimes misguidedly, sure.

Black people were tsked tsked to hell and back after 2016 by liberals bemoaning identity politics. It's been a popular refrain of liberals to tell black people it would be a mistake to focus on black issues.

Frankly who cares what they think? They don't vote and are unlikely to be moved to vote.

And this was despite the fact that we broke the most for Hillary.

We can't win for losing.

Just because these assholes cease to exist on voting day doesn't mean they cease to exist every single day. Their garbage opinions and scorned white feewings inform their treatment of minorities and marginalized people on a daily basis. They're unfortunately very relevant.

what the fuck is white discrimination?
I usually hear it in terms of things like "man it is so much easier to get scholarships if you aren't white, all scholarships should be able for white people" and "Affirmative action is BS, it is certainly why I don't have a job. That's white discrimination!"

So I would say it's bullshit by people who have no idea what they're talking about, or worse of course.

I'm a bit curious on the demos of this particular data and what the breakdown would look like for each question. Even then, calling these trends predictable is putting it lightly.

at that point you guys only have a chance because Trump is terrible
I suspect these are the sorts of democrats that buy into right wing bullshit but will never admit it. The use of liberal like it is extreme far left wing politics is the most telling. "Want a Democrat who is more liberal than most Democrats", it is like everyone involved is too chicken shit to say spooky terms like Democratic Socialist or WORSE.

The US is one of few countries where two parties are pretty much are on one of the both ends in the political spectrum with little to no overlap. It does make sense that many nonvoters understand that a lot of progressive/liberal policies benefit them, but could care less about minority issues. Which is interesting because white democratic voters are actually becoming more liberal on racial issues.

I think in most part of the world and it includes minorities in the US as well, the population is social conservative to moderate, and economically left-leaning. In the sense that they back government-backed policies of spending and social welfare. It makes sense that a huge portion of non-voters fits that bill in the US as well.

these are neolibs and libertarians and those who withhold their vote because the Democrats are too "bleeding heart". They would vote Republican but they aren't too up on religion.
what the fuck is white discrimination?

white discrimination is what you get when white race traitors side with minorities to gang up on Real Americans.
