If I won, realistically I'd probably delete all social media accounts, including this one. Would probably take a full month to try and erase my online presence as much possible, and then try to claim the winnings as anonymously as possible. I think my state doesn't allow that, but there's supposedly some loophole about setting up a corporation and claiming it through that instead.
Threw my hat into the ring. Thankfully my state allows you to accept big lottery winnings anonymously for people who actually win big. You best believe I wouldn't be telling a soul. It would be pretty difficult not to go full bugfuck for anyone who actually wins lol
I bought 3 tickets. 17 individual numbers. Not one winning individual number matched. Do I win anything?

Depending on your friends/family, winning "only" a million puts you in that territory...

I thought that too. Wonder if they aren't getting as many "I only buy when it's crazy high " buyers due to covid.
Yeah, that's me. Normally I would have stopped by a 711 on my way home from work. But I am WFH now, and going to store for this just feels like it wouldn't be the best idea for me.
I'm this kind of guy too. I don't just want financial stability, I want to use it to make a difference, like forgiving student loan debt or medical bills for a bunch of people.
This is why you just by one ticket. To win you need to be astronomically, unbelievably lucky — having multiple tickets doesn't increase the chances of that.

I got the money ball so that was $2 at least. I'll snag another ticket at some point this weekend because I have to go out and pick up a prescription.
Ticket sales have slowed since the pandemic. Also, the lottery hasn't been in the news as much with everything else going on, slowing the publicity.
That's usually how it works for smaller tickets. I assume it would work for this one too?
People aren't going out to buy tickets cause of pandemic, etc. But I expect it to be $900m by Tues.
